It sounds like everyone here is trying to protect Rush's comments by supporting his claim that McNabb is overrated.

No one cared that he called McNabb overrated. People cared because he drug race into the issue. Whethere Rush is a racist is beyond me, but you just don't say things like that, it was unnecessary and unprofessional. He attacked the media and McNabb on the basis of the media wanting him to suceed because he is black. Bash McNabb all you want, but I haven't heard one good reason why El Gato is defending Rush so much.

I think the reason the other ESPN announcers said nothing is because the whole thing was planned. They hired Rush soley for the fact to boost ratings. They knew he would say something controversial, and they got their wish. I'm sure it was made clear to let Rush get his thoughts out before jumping on him.

By the way El, nobody is jumping on you so just relax a bit, just wanted to know why you were defending him so much. I didn't call him a racist nor you a racist, I simply said he made a racist comment. It offended a lot of people, especially McNabb.

For the record, the first thing anyone does when accused of being racist (even though I wasn't accusing you) is say "I have lots of black friends" or some variation of it.

Those dittoheads sure are loyal, aren't they? I hope Rush didn't broadcast any details of last year's playoffs, or someone might realize that Owens didn't play in them....

Dean Alexander is probably the best announcer I have heard in this state. Very knowledgeable and fair in his assessment of the game. A truly classy individual.

Kris Attebury and non-biased don't belong in the same sentence...

A griz fan talking about a radio announcer being biased?

Something about a pot and a kettle and the color black...

(DAMN! There I go bringing race into it again!)
