If anyone is interested in the Griz game

Post by Helcat72 » Sat Sep 03, 2005 2:23 pm

I tried the Griz site and found a video feed if anyone is interested. Frankly they look pretty good for a D-II T team. (and i don't mean Fort Lewis. The griz are ahead 21-0 (one was a fake field goal and the other two were runs by Hilliard. No one else seems able to get very large gains

I watched on-line and listened a bit but it just made me mad. The arragence displayed by the annoucers is enough to make me puke. Any they aren't even the tv guys. The tv guys are are the worst ever. Do they realize they are playing a cupcake?

So, did the Griz learn anything today by thumping a High School team?

Nope.

They've got Oregon next week...and they didn't look good vs. Houston.
It could be interesting.

Oregon didn't look good? After the first quarter, it was like 28-3 or something like that; Houston had two bombs and a kick return in the first, after that, ZILCH. UO's D-line is MASSIVE & strong; the Griz will have a difficult time getting 100 yards rushing.

I made an open bet with any/all griz fans LONG before last nights game that MSU would stay closer to OSU than the Griz will to the Ducks; the only taker was originalextrachrispyboisegriz5. Think I'll get any takers this week?

I'm thinking, NAH...

I disagree El Gato.

I think that they are learning how to clean out their collective shorts because they know that their qb should be playing rb. About 4th string rb at that.

Sure the Griz coaches learned some things. And please get of the DII B.S., what was the last year, besides this one, that the cats didn't play a DII school? Plus, SFA, nearly got beat by one.
Congrats on a good showing in Stillwater, not doubt. If the Griz are to show anywhere near as good against UO they will have to do a lot better on O, which is possible. UO does look very good, it wasn't all preseason hype. I think they have a shot at beating everyone in the PAC10 except USC, that isn't going to happen.

I listen until about the 3rd quarter. I loved that the announcers were already talking about this year’s NC game! I couldn’t believe they were saying that when they were playing a crappy D-II school.
After listening to the game I would have to say this, Lex sounds like he is going to have a good year, and the Griz do not have a QB. Lex had a lot of big runs, and seemed untoppThe Griz’s passing game sounded poor. If you get a good rush and good DBs I think the Griz’s passing game will evaporate. A big problem with the Griz’s schedule is that you won’t know really how they stack-up as a 1-AA team until the 3rd week of the season.

I'm not really sure how not playing a I-AA team until the 3rd week is a BIG problem. Maybe someone can explain this to me.
