Stanford loses to UC-Davis

Post by SonomaCat » Mon Dec 05, 2005 11:29 am

Stanford is apparently not a good road team this season. It could be a long season for them ... although I have a feeling they will turn it around and play the Pac 10 tough like they usually do.

The double-whammy on this one (in addition to the fact that Stanford football lost to Davis as well, and that Davis is one year removed from D-II) is that this was Davis' first win. They have already lost to both NAU and CSUS.

Kudos to Stanford for being willing to go on the road and play non-majors, but this might be exhibit 1 for why nobody else makes a habit of doing it.

Didn't UC-Davis beat Stanford in football this fall also? Losing to a provisional D-I team in football and basketball in the same year, that has to hurt if your the Cardinal.
