Big Sky-round one

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Thu Jan 05, 2006 10:51 pm

Some obnoxious stats in that EWU-NAU game in Flagstaff: Final score was 105-95 NAU. Stucky from EWU had 45 points (this kid is freshman I believe). Bazy from NAU was 11-12 from the field and had 27 points. Attendance to see this classic? 815 :x http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/boxscore?gid=200601050420

the griz squeeked by ISU after trailing much of the game 80-76

Sac State is way up on Portland State in Hornet gym. edit: Sac wins 76-60

And of course-the Bobcats beat the Wildcats with ease :D

Hey, it looks like I might be 4 for 4 tonight. See the thread on Conference Play opens tonight if you don't believe me. But yeah, watch out for Stucky. He's the real deal. It sure will be fun in 2-3 years with him in the conference.

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan! :) =D^ \:D/
My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

I don't know if the Griz "squeaked by" both teams played a great game, ISU is very talented.

I would consider a 4 point win after trailing in the first half by 10 "squeaking by", especially at home.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Have fun with Idaho State Saturday. I got a feeling by then you will be wishing that the Cats "squeaked" by them. The ISU team that played in Missoula tonight is better than advertised. For starters, that Milliens player is a S-T-U-D. I am glad they are in our rear view and Weber State up on the horizon. Good luck on Saturday and enjoy a big win. I just wouldn't be shocked to find out that ISU is a good squad come Saturday.

Sorry, the proper term according to this morning's Chronicle is "scrape by".

Apparantly you took offense? I not sure why. I was implying it was a close game. I am expecting ISU to be very good. Their record shows that they are.

It will depend on which ISU team shows up Saturday. The Griz faced a team that was supposed to be having trouble shooting the ball, and ISU was shooting over 70% from both the field and 3-point land until the last couple of minutes of the 1st half. And this was with the Griz playing pretty good defense. If ISU would not have had so many turnovers the first half the Griz may have been down much more than 12. I have no idea how ISU lost last week to some school I have not even heard of before.

Watch out for #50 Slim Millien, he is tall & scrawny so you don't think he will do much, but he has a very nice touch & really altered a lot of the inside shots the Griz took. Keep an eye on #4 too, he is a punk! Throw him to the Bengal football team!

I didn't know #4 was Martin for the Griz? But yeah, I agree .. throw him to the Bengal football team for sure.
