Rodney Stuckey

Post by Kadeezy » Sun Jan 15, 2006 12:20 am

Having seen Rodney Stuckey play, I can honestly say that Rodney Stuckey is the best BSC player I've ever seen play (besides Jason Harris and DaShawn Freeman of course!). He the highest scoring frosh in the country, and I think that if he grown another inch or so and puts on 15 pounds of muscle he could make an NBA roster. Plus he kind of looks like 50 cent, which is tight.

Kid is the real deal. I think he wins BSC player of the year, seems like a race between Andrew Strait and Stuckey...

There was a small write-up on him in the Portland paper today but there wasn't a lot of info other than he is apparently unstoppable.

Questions that weren't answered.

1) How did he end up at EWU?
2) Why did he redshirt last year?

Thanks in advance to anyone with this information.

He was an academic non-qualifier (as was Eric Kimble). The PAC-10 does not allow schools to sign non-qualifiers therefore EWU was able to come in and swipe him. In order to become eligible, because he was a non-qualifier, he had to sit out a year and "make grades" which must've been pretty difficult at a school with such a rich academic history...

His senior year he was the player of the year in the state of Washington and would have easily played for UW or any other PAC-10 team if he had the grades and/or test scores.

I watched him play earlier this year against Northridge and I have been to 3 Zags games this year. He could easily play at Gonzaga and would probably start...He is the real deal.

So I had to see for myself so I went on Eastern's website. Up close he doesn't look like 50, but in the team photo and one action shot I can see it. If things don't work out in basketball he's always got the G-UNIT.

He'll get Newcomer of the year no doubt. Good shot at POY too...

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
