NAU blows it

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Tue Mar 14, 2006 10:33 pm

I don't know anything about Delaware State, but I would think NAU would be a favorite in Flagstaff's altitude over most sea-level mid-majors. But no-NAU loses to DSU 58-53. A blown opportunity for NAU and Big Sky-where post season wins are very much a rareity.

DSU is the same team who lost to Hampton in their conference tournament, and Hampton got absolutely destroyed tonight in the NCAA "Opening Round" game. I'm very surprised that NAU lost to that team at home.

I thought NAU would come out with a little more fire considering their poor performance against the Griz in the BSC tourney. This was a game they shoulda/coulda won. On the down side, a slight black eye for our conference considering NAU played this one at home. On the up side, this still leaves the Cats as the last BSC team to win in a national tourney :D
