This is a pretty funny article making fun of how seriously griz fans take football.

...what makes this even funnier is that their win over Furman barely drew 12k in 2001...what would it have been had Furman not been there?

My favorite part of the article was the picture of the hot chicks from James Madison at their party. That and the mention of the 10 home games and how absurb that seems to most.

Great artical, but I would put a lot of faith in Mr. Coulson's ability to pick a winner for this game. Besides his own admission of his poor record at picking winning teams, based on what he wrote I would not say he even knows what type of game the Griz play. I would catagorize the Griz closer to a "Balanced attack" football team, than a "wide open passing" team.

There have Rodney Dangerfield-tinged cries about how the Grizzlies get no respect. You would swear that director Oliver Stone was a Montana supporter as fans have developed conspiracy theories on such wide-ranging topics as playoff seedings, All-American snubs, point spreads and post-season prognosticating.

Rock these fans’ boats and quickly be accused of your Griz Envy or East-Coast Bias, even if you grew up in California and live in the south. Geography doesn’t always apply when you are trying to win a national championship.
Haha...

Another thing I forgot to mention. Did Baby really play for the griz as the article said? I didn't think he did but I may be wrong.

No he didn't play. In fact, I don't think they even let him carry the jock straps.

Baby never played for the Griz, but he was an assistant under Reed.

Uh-oh, we better check his resume, smells like another Notre Dame scandal. Just kidding.

The article was definately good and although I won't be rooting for the Griz tonight I think it is great for them to be on the edge of winning #3. This one is alot easier to take then while the streak was intact!

Hey, based on the photo immediately under Hauck's, I'm DEFINITELY rooting for JMU tonight!!!

I only wish I'd gone to the game now so I could meet a few of those blonde cuties in the front row...

Yeah, it must be interesting for you guys to actually witness a dedicated fan base.

Cat Grad -- there were 3,000 fans in Chatty in `01 and chunked out $1,000 a piece for charter tickets (same as this year)

I can't believe you would actually criticize them for that. I can't take attendance smack seriously from Cat fans.

By the way UM's side was a bit more full than JMU's -- and the Duke fans only had to drive 6 hours.
