Expanding The Big Sky

How does everyone feel about the idea of expanding the conference again? I was really disappointed that they are not truly considering NDSU and SDSU for expansion. It would be great to add schools that are the true athletics from their given state. We don't really need another school like Sacramento where the Bobcat fans out number the home team's fans! What are your guys' thoughts?

mquast53000: I would like to add NDSU and SDSU. But you should look at the teams. SDSU added 1 SD kid and NDSU goes to MN for the Kids.

mquast53000: I'd like to see all of them added and have us go to two divisions. And yes, I too would love to see state institutions with the following and the finances the Dakotas have, not to mention their facilities.

jaqur1: What I meant to say was that in the Dakotas, the University athletics are the premier sporting events. There are relatively few other competing colleges in either state and there are no professional teams. This will result in what I believe to be stronger support for the college teams, and added intensity for Big Sky games. That is why I like the addition of the Dakotas to the Big Sky.

I too agree that NDSU and SDSU would have been the best additions to the Big Sky. They are the most competetive schools in my opinions, and they have the best fan bases of the other possibles.
P.S. You should've made a poll option that including both of them.

You were solid. I would have liked to see you healthy through your career. You definately would have helped in the Mcneese Game. Henning is a good buddy, but well undersized for that position on that day.

It is nice to hear the kind words from the Cat fans about NDSU. Hopefully on down the road the powers that be in the Sky will let us in and we will not head off to the Mid-Con or the Gateway.
