Notes from Boise

Post by mslacat » Thu Mar 17, 2005 9:19 am

Truth be known I have been know to post on the Griz boards :-$ . I try, though, to keep
most of my comments positive over on the dark side. Maybe this comment belongs over
there but I am going to get hell with this last comment in this post. So I will do it here.

********* This is all rumor by definition, but take my word a very good source *******

Talked with someone in Boise.

Krysco is getting a lot of attention by the media, and by administrations, he is becoming a
darling of Boise. He is also being talked to by a lot of AD's from other schools. If he is
successful over the next couple of year he may have a lot of options.

In interviews yesterday Criswell and Kamarr Davis were asked to comment on playing
for a legend. Davis said some really nice, sincere things. Criswell declined to comment.
It was bizarre. and awkwardly quite.

This is just a few more random thoughts to add to the mix.

There was an article in the Great Falls Tribune that talked alot about Larry's coaching style and how if he is yelling at you thats alot better than him not talking to you at all. A few players were mentioned in the article, but Kevin was not.

Also, I talked to someone close to Larry who told me the first few weeks of the season were tough to figure out the guys that were willing to play hard and play Larry's style, but those guys were identified down the stretch. What's this mean? Who knows, but maybe Kevin is truly on his way out.

I don't think you'll get much hell in here except from those that got lost in the dark side and wander over here  Anyway. Krysko is probably getting those phone calls ADs are famous for making at 8:30-9:00 in the evening: "We have a position that is or will soon be vacant; are you interested?" I think he's a rural Montana kid that's grateful for the opportunity to return home the same as Mick is grateful for never having to leave. I hope he stays around a couple of years so we can all live to see the end of the ticky-tacky crap our conference has become. Big East, Eddie Sutton, Barnes and Knight physical basketball and I'll probably get a season ticket to the BB games in Bozo too. I don't think I'll ever drive down for another free throw shooting contest. Krysko's good for the conference and he'd be good for any gunner trying to play major college basketball  The gunners can head for the Frontier Conference :P
