From a very reliable source, in late October, Hauck and several other Griz coaches were told their contracts would NOT be renewed. Rumor has it that Hauck has a job with San Diego State, but I don't know that with the same certainty as the simple fact that he will never again darken WaGriz.

It's a new day, boys. God only knows who we'll get, but with a very young defense, and hopefully a newly configured O under a new QB, one thing should be for sure...

There is NO WAY the Griz coaching staff would've been told that in late October; you're smoking some SERIOUS SHEEAHT.

Think about it; at that point, the Griz are in first place in the Big Sky and ranked in the top 5 nationally; what happens if they go on to make another run to the NC game? Or actually win it?

Give me a break.

Hauck may indeed be moving on after this season; I won't deny that possibility but there is simply no way your story is true. The only way that could've happened is if there was some type of SERIOUS infraction by Hauck and/or his staff and if it was that bad, it would've been impossible to keep it covered up for a month.

i agree with gato. this week should tell us the future of the program though.

I also heard from an old griz booster who I was at the game with, that Hauck is gone.

Hauck's job is safe. They made the playoff's. UofM does not have a history of firing coach's who made the playoffs. At least in football. Basketball is another story.
