Guaranteed Ticket to the NFL

Be the FSU kicker who can make a pressure kick in a Bowl Game.
I told my kids, last night, if they wanted to play in the NFL that this was the guaranteed way to punch their ticket.
But then my wife chimed in that an even better way was to be a long-snapper...hard to argue that.
NOTE: I didn't include Jan Stenerud for obvious reasons!!!

I had to vote for SeaBass simply out of loyalty to the Raiders, even though I can't really think of one real pressure kick that he has had to make.
As much as I hate the Patriots, Vinatieri is about as good as it gets when you look at pressure kickers. The snow bowl screw job of the Raiders a couple of years ago (tuck rule my a$$) a couple of super bowls and quite a few others along the way. I think your wife is on to something about long snappers. look what happened a couple of years ago with the Giant longsnapper who had his first bad snap in god knows how many tries. Its a nice job while you are doing well, but one mess up and that's it.

Until the rest of these guys have been around as long as MOrten and/or Gary Anderson I'd have to go with them.

I excluded Gary because he missed the chip shot to send the Vikes to the 1999 Super Bowl. Falcons drive and tie the game on a TD, and then MORTEN wins it in OT.
Can't be in the discussion after that...

The real bad thing was that I think that was his only miss all year.

I'm surprised no-one voted for Vanderjagt. Of course the offense he plays for is so good his skills are rarely needed at the end of games, but his accuracy and range is impressive.

i forget who they were playing, but how cool was it when the oppsing team tried to ice him at the end of the game, and he just sat down right on the field? i've been a fan of "idiot kicker" ever since then.

Could be that "idiot kicker" hasn't really been under pressure. I put him in their because I recalled that incident, but I think it was a regular season game.
