ESPN Homer call of the Week/Year

Every monday Dan Patrick on ESPN Radio pulls out 3-4 of the best "Homer Calls" of the previos week. You know the local announcer that do not even attempt to show any jounalist integrety. Today at the Super Bowl site he is doing the "Homer Call of the Year" kind of worse of the worse for the whole year. It got me thinking. Next year we have to find a way to get some Mick Hollien and Gurnsey calls to ESPN. These guy's they have on today can not even hold a candle Mick and Scott. They could win this every week!!! No one homers like Hollien and Gurnz

I don't know if those two are creative and/or animated enough to qualify. Plus it would take ShowKiller more than five minutes to sort through the added material

I have just lost my respect "his peers", but then again I had little respect for the "Montana Hack Announcers Association"

I'd like to hear El Gato's take on this, as he is an announcer himself. I wonder if he has a vote, or can shed some light on the inner-workings of the group.

When I did Play-by-Play for livingston I got to vote. I voted for dean but there were only 3-4 options. Dean, hollen (sp?), rocky, and one more that I can't remember. My boss was sent a application for me to be added but she didn't send it in.....THANKS BOSS.

16-6...what does either one of those two scores have to do with Mick Holien or any other broadcasters?
When I've listened to the Griz broadcasts on the radio, the thing I notice about Holien is that he doesn't give much description of what is happening during the play. A typical call will be something like "handoff to Lex (pause) gain of 4" or "Bergquist drops back to pass (pause) incomplete". They are total homers though, although I don't have a huge problem with that.

Any past is the past. You bring up the past 20 years, we can bring up the last 100 if we want.
