Given Weber is at home, I think they come out on top tomorrow of what should be a slugfest.
Since I'm not sure how the winner of this game benefits MSU, I will revert to baseline and be pulling for the Wildcats.

The Weber/UM game probably doesn't affect MSU too much, although a UM win could be useful in giving Weber its second conference loss to go along with the two losses UM already has. The sequence of results we should definitely be rooting for is for Sac to beat Idaho this weekend and then for Weber to beat Sac next weekend, which gives MSU control of its own destiny to win the outright conference title.

Hero Sports has Weber winning over the western school of dance 27-21
and Idaho winning over Sac 31-28
Apparently our fan base thinks we need to play a lightly recruited 5’8” third string QB for the Griz have any shot if Johnson doesn’t play.
Good stuff. Especially considering Lucas Johnson sucks.
I don't think he sucks... I just think he's inconsistent. He's played some games this year where he looked like an NFL player, but then looks like crap for stretches. Sort of reminds me of our Matt McKay situation last year.
Who knows. Maybe Bobby messed him up when he benched him for that fumble a few weeks ago.

I think what Tommy did last year stepping into the starting lineup during the playoffs, coming from 4th string (?), provides credibility to these type of thoughts. I think it is rare that it works out well, but may be worthy of testing if there’s an opportunity (I.e., no other options but to play him or winning/losing big). To start him sounds too risky though.

Did you watch him against Idaho? ISU was just the start of other coaches realizing the guy can't progress through reads and melts down with just a little bit of pressure.
Messed him up? Should we coddle the 7th year Sr transfer QB who just showed up?
Literally any other QB on the roster plays like he did against ISU and Idaho; they lose the job and are most likely gone at the end of the season.

Kris Brown is the most talented QB on the roster. Probably the most gifted QB we've had in a long time. He played very well at SacState. Not that you'd know that listening to our fans.

Yup. I pick em that way to except I only give dance academy 17.
Vegas betting line opened with Grizzlies 2.5 point underdogs.
What were the odds for Idaho at griz?

Paragraph pulled from an article about 5 keys to the game for the gris to win...
"Rise to the occasion
All year long, the Griz have gotten their wins by committee. They haven’t shown that they have any one player who can truly take over a game. That may be by design, as Hauck is known for spreading the ball around on offense. But on Saturday, the Griz will need a signature performance from someone.
They’ll need someone to play desperate, like the season is on the line. Whether that be a 100-yard performance from a running back, a multiple-score game from wide receiver or multiple-takeaway game from a defender, UM needs someone to step up and reassert the Griz as a top-level team."
So basically one guy needs to win this game for them. I just thought this was a very interesting take.

I haven't been seeing anything your fans have said other than complaints about the OB call late, but I've wondered if anybody thought Brown actually played pretty well Saturday. I didn't see how he was a big drop-off from Johnson, if he wasn't actually a little better. It was 10-7 when he came in and he helped stretch the lead. Maybe Johnson would've done more, but the gris needed a call and a stop or two to win that game more than they needed to score more IMO.

Someone. Anyone. Just need a single player to rise to the occasion and they can win a game.

I guess I'm glad that the Bobcats have a team mentality and therefore win as a team. In some ways it seemed like Tommy took the team on his back to win last Saturday, but looking back at the game, everyone was all in to win. Every player, especially the offense on those TD runs, rose to the occasion.
Reading articles, comments, and even predictions for the gris game tomorrow, it's all about one player, often Johnson, being the difference between a loss and a win.

I agree here and I think Kris Brown is a very capable guy. But the problem is they try to run him in these RPO scenarios that are just not his strong suit. He needs to hit these timing routes over the middle which he has shown he can execute.
I guess they are saying over at egriz that tommy touchdown has laid out a blueprint for winning against WSU. Now all they need to do is run Lucas Johnson the same way and they should win the game right.

A little off topic here, but I don't see this week's FCS ALL-IN on the espn+ replays. Usually is there on Friday night. Did they not do one this week?

Found it on You-tube. Hope they keep putting it on espn+

If the Gris lose this game they aren’t getting seeded in the Top 8.
I’m more interested in this game than anything other than Bobcat games and it’s kind of nice to have the bye week and be able to really watch the Gris for a full game to see what they have with Brown at QB woth a full week of practice. I watched Q4 and OT at Sac State and thought Kris played well off of the bench and curious to see the game plan.
