Disagree. I have no doubt Vigen was negotiating with them. They didn't get there so pivoted to rogers. Multiple people confirmed Vigen addressed the team regarding his involvement/negotiating with wazzu.

As a person who lived in Fargo for 25 years, raising my kids, moved back to Montana 8 years ago. I received a text from a friend and ex-FCS football player after asking his thoughts. Here is his reply. I took out the roommates name and left initials as nobody will know him but Coach anyway

“That job was Vigen’s….he clearly didn’t get all the details he wanted agreed to by WSU so they couldn’t wait for him to coach the FCS title game….

I talked to Vigen’s roommate in college (LS). If the cats lose Saturday, he takes this job. He wanted to wait to take after championship. They were negotiating. They couldn’t get around that. And they moved on. It’s that simple.
He wanted the job. The money was life changing for his family. 5 years 8-9 mill.
He flew into Henderson NV and met with them on private jet”

Well, at least all of this stuff gives the team something to think about, instead of getting migraines from having tunnel vision on that January 6 game over in Texas.

They definitely wanted Vigen. Really believed that he was the perfect man for the job. A true game changer but they would never dream of waiting another 9 days.

Exactly. They want him because he might be an NC-caliber coach, but didn’t want to give him the chance to find out.

Exactly. They want him because he might be an NC-caliber coach, but didn’t want to give him the chance to find out.

Ridiculous. I would never hire a coach that would abandon his team days before reaching their ultimate goal. Apparently WSU requires that you be an awful member of the team before they’ll hire you.

100% agree with this post. You spend 4 yrs preaching about having your teammates back and never letting them down and then you as a coach would do that….speaks volumes of who Vigen is. We are blessed… anyone got 8 mil lying around to keep him here ?

Absolutely jumping on and agreeing with this as well! So let's say they did get him, and he crushes it at WSU, they make the FBS playoffs and have a legit change at a national title..... but he quits before a playoff game because he gets a huge offer from UW or whoever, but it's..... quit now or you're not getting the job. Wow.
