Falling flat

Coaching is a tough gig. I've been surprised a few times. I thought Kramer would at least make ISU competitive. I also thought Choate would turn around Nevada
Wrong both times.

Choate had been there 1 full season. I wouldn't close the book on that just yet.

I just checked out their schedule. The only two games they might have a shot in are San Jose St and Wyoming and those are games 10 and 11. At best it's probably a 3 win season with one of those against the imploding Sac State which they should have lost. Choate's going to have to put on his best salesman schtick to still be the head coach on Christmas day. If he gets a third year he may have a shot in the pared back MWC but he's got to get there first.

He may have found a QB in this Carter Jones. True freshman looks pretty good! Ioane's defense is salty.

Choate isn't getting fired after 2 seasons.

They fired their previous coach after two seasons with a similar W/L record to what Choate is probably going to have.

The Wolfpack was at least competitive in Fresno, losing 20-17. At home they drew 20000 against Sac and 16000 against MTSU. The Wolfpack faithful can’t be any too happy,

Choate will get another year unless they implode. If they don’t improve, he’ll get fired.

He has at least one guaranteed loss in 2026, I know that.

Nevada down 41-0 at home to San Diego State in the third quarter. Oof.

Ended at 44-10. Tried to get an attendance but nothing available. The Wolfpack faithful cannot be happy.
