former msu provost and now ndsu president chapman withdrew from consideration for the wyoming presidents job. the fargo forum reports that the students held a rally to convince him to stay. he was later interviewed and he talked that they are still trying to get into the big sky or mid con. he also talked that if those two don't work out they may consider a push to..........THE WAC or MWC. quite ambitious, but it wouldn
't suprise me if they got in. Chapman has increased students, doctoral programs, salaries, etc. also taken them from d2 to d1 with more sports than any of the big sky schools.

Just another of the long, long list of positive reasons the Big Sky needs to approve of NDSU's becoming a member. Delete SAC St. & PORTLAND ST and add NDSU and SDSU.

If SDSU were ready to go to the WAC, I could see them going as a package deal. From what I understand, NDSU is the more desirable (and advanced) of the two programs, as SDSU has a lot of work to do to get up to I-AA standards, especially in football.
