FB Game of the week?

So is the Fairfield @ Shelby match the game of the week? They're both coming off a couple of lopsided wins. I was surprised by the Shelby/Glasgow game last week. Always seemed like Glasgow had some pretty good football teams.

3-0 Skyview @ 3-0 Capital (I think it's this weekend) should be a good one. I'm sure Capital rolls, just hoping it's a good one. [-o<

Skyview will win if they dont turn the ball over.

Fort Benton at Chinook should be one of the best Class C matchups. Winner will almost be guaranteed a playoff spot by week 3.

How's CMR doing?

CMR is working out some problems and should come out of this weekend 2-2. Lost 2 games they could have won. Getting some players back from injuries and moving some players to different positions to give themselves the best chance to win. I think they will be there in the thick of things come playoff time.

Fairfield/Shelby may decide the 1B and it is the first conference game. Choteau will start off 4-0 with easy wins against poor teams then hit their tough schedule and Cut Bank could play spoiler but these two are the best teams in the conference. Fairfield can run the ball very well with 2 RB's and QB who can run. Also have a spread passing game with short passes that can turn into big gains. Shelby throws it all over the place, has a very good passing QB and solid receivers. Last year the line decide the game and Fairfield won. If they get pressure on White Fairfield wins, if they don't Shelby wins. I think it will be a 28-21 type game.

Fort Benton beat Chinook, 44-24.

Bozeman was beating Butte 40-7 with about 7 min. left in the 4th quarter when the field and stands were cleared due to lightning. Great effort by the Hawks on their homecoming.

Well now I guess that Fairfield/Shelby game wasn't such a big deal at least according to the final score 49-20 Fairfield wins at Shelby. Looks like the 1B is going to be tough. What with (at the time) I believe at least 3 teams in the top ten (1 Fairfield, 7 Choteau, 10 Shelby hope I got that right). And Cut Bank spanked Conrad.

On a side note, did anyone happen to attend the Fairfield game or the Three Forks game in Shelby? Curious how the new field is.

Senior played a good game and deserved to win. Bleskin had probably the worst game of his life. 12-44 with 4 picks. Ouch

I'm originally from the greater Sunburst/Kevin/Shelby metro area, and I'm curious what you mean by "new field"?

They ripped up the old field and track this summer. Fixed the crowning and irrigation for the football field. Plan is to install an all weather track. They're in the process of raising money for the track. There are some before and in process pictures here: http://www.coyotepride.com/class_custom6.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. In case it's not obvious I call Shelby home even though I live in the Seattle area.

I know that Chase White (I believe that's his name??) is a really good QB. Is he good enough to be a DI-AA prospect, or he is more likely to play in the Frontier?

You got the name right. Haven't seen him play so I can't really answer but he has gotten mention in the MT Players to Watch thread and Will's blog (link in the Players to Watch thread). Although Will says that he may not be DI caliber. I just wonder which sport he might choose (basketball or football).
