Recommend a 6-man football team to follow?

Post by AlphaOAlum » Fri Aug 30, 2013 2:54 pm

I want to attend a 6-man football game this fall. Near Bozeman would be good, but not super necessary. Light googling failed to turn up any 6-man schedules!

You've got your choice between West Yellowstone and Big SKy (Lone Peak) CK. West's first home game is the 7th and Lone Peak doesn't have one until the 28th (according to our sched). Lone Peak should be the better of the two based on last year

West Yellowstone, we used to really suck at 8 man football, but they do well in the 6 man stuff.

Just drive to Winifred ... it's a road trip that should be on your bucket list anyway.

Next home game is this weekend -- and it's Homecoming!

Is Winifred the place with the Tonka museum. It was on backroads of Montana on PBS a few weeks back. Looked like a fun little trip.

Yep ... that Backroads segment is online here:

There's a new hotel/bowling alley/restaurant/bar opening up next spring that is going to be amazing. It's actually going to be strange to have a facility THAT nice in a town like Winifred, where we grew up with pretty modest expectations.

I hear the grocery store there is really cool, as well.
