Future Cats at HS tournaments

Post by [cat_bracket] » Thu Mar 12, 2015 12:40 pm

Capital and Skyview won to get to boys semis.

Nobody has said much about what a stud Marcus Ferriter is in hoops. He leads Butte Central in scoring at 16 a game and had 31 in a challenge game to get to state last week. I think Konkol averages over 10 for Belgrade. Both are at state.

Tre'von Strong is one of Skyview's top players. He's good for about 12 ppg.

I hear he's relentless on the court.

Laurels holds off Belgrade at A. Belgrade had two FTs to tie with 2.9 left. Missed first, couldn't board second.

Shaping up to be a tough day in the Gallatin. Bozeman and Belgrade boys both lost. Bozeman girls losing late. Manhattan Xtian losing early.

@GazPrepSports: Marcus Ferriter has fouled out for Butte Central. He's been a beast all day. 2:23 left, Maroons lead C-Falls 49-42

Central won. Ferriter is beginning to sound like the best athlete in Montana. Football, basketball and TF. We'll see how he does throwing shot and disk. I can't think of a better FB/Bball combo.

This is the best time of the year for sports in Montana in my opinion.

Ferriter is a stud. Big strong kid, he really worked a couple of much taller Columbia Falls kids. Fouled out near the end but BC held on for the upset.

Maroons win!

I watched several Butte Central football games on Charter cable. Ferriter is a stud.

Ferriter had 17, Strong 5, Konkol 2.

Skyview plays Capital (semis). Central plays Laurel (semis). Belgrade plays Columbia Falls (loser out)

Forgot about Mitch Brott. He had two for West, which plays Great Falls in the other AA semi.

Sounds like Brendan Howard is going to be a beast. Hope he ends up on Bozeman.

From what I gather it was a blow out from the get go...

GFH is legit. They've been playing as well as anyone in the state the 2nd half of the season. They beat Skyview fairly easily in Billings late in the regular season, which was their only conference loss, and they've won something like 9 of their last 10. I think they've got a legitimate shot to win it all, despite being only the #4 seed from the East.

I watched most of their games, and he really didn't seem like he cared that much. Lazy screens and kind of just walked around, it was really weird.
