The landscape for AA has changed. It used to be Capital, CMR and West. Capital fell off last year, new coach. CMR, new coach. The new landscape seems to be Glacier, Helena and Bozeman.

Glacier and Helena play Friday night in Kalispell. Great start to the season!

Probably gonna be a shame that one team loses. Just hoping it's as good a game as I think.

I had faith that you would come around and see things the right way.

Despite Capital, CMR, and West having new coaches (and yes, I realize that Lowry in his 2nd year at CMR), I'm not ready to write any of them off just yet. They've been too good for too long (27 of the last 40 state titles), to think that they won't continue to be perennial contenders. History and tradition counts for a lot in football, at any level. Capital's dominance has endured through several coaching changes already, and CMR didn't skip a beat last year.

They moved Tucker from QB back out to WR and beat #1 Helena 40-14.

Tucker is a great athlete but not a quarterback. CMR will be much better with him stretching the field.

CMR at Capital tonight should be a good game. Can CMR keep it rolling?

It seems to me like Class AA is very close this year. Not a real clear cut favorite like their was the last 2 years. Is Billings Senior going to be that group this year after coming out of nowhere?

Senior has probably been the best team in the state so far. They have a great defense. I don't know what their schedule is like the rest of the way, but I've got a feeling that someone will beat them before the season is done. You're right though...there doesn't seem to be a lot of separation among the top teams. There's probably 4-6 teams that have a legitimate chance at winning the championship. The last few weeks of the regular season, and the playoffs, should be very interesting.
