Congrats to the Helena Senators on their state title. Lots of good, scrappy players on that team. I used to work with their coach, Jon Burnett, at MDT.

Was nice to see Judson Seliskar come up big in the clutch for Helena. He drove in the go-ahead runs in the semi-final and title games. He's a good football and baseball player, and a great kid. He was the starting left tackle in the Shrine Game and the West coach, Dane Oliver, said he was the best OL on the squad, which is why he moved him to LT. He had an offer to play football at CC, but he's going to play baseball in college in North Dakota.

It was the first title for Helena since 2003, which capped off a run of three straight Legion titles for the Senators.

Agree, and they are 1-1 at regionals so far.

In Northwest Class A regionals in Anchorage Alaska the only 2 remaining undefeated teams, Cody Cubs and Gallatin Valley, square off tonight at 9 pm. Over the years Cody has bounced between AA and A and it wouldn't surprise me to see them AA next year.
The regional has several Alaska teams competing this year as Oregon and Washington opted not to send teams to Alaska because of travel expenses. Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are the only travelling teams.
