at this point longhorn is the last one in (invitation wise) since it won't let me change the league size like it should. If someone drops out, I'll add BDizzle and anyone else who wants to join, like a waiting list. So if you already have an invite, sign up.

In my opinion, I wouldn't have more than 12 teams in the league. The draft gets really long and the teams get extremely thin with talent after that. Just a thought.

if we stick with auction style, it kind of evens out the field plus I added some scoring options that add to the draft pool

Could someone explain the "auction" style draft? This is a first for me.

its not set in stone that we use it but it is one of the most fair.............and fun.
A team starts out with a set amount of "dollars" in which to fill your team. You work out a budget of sorts and bid on each player. Anyone has a shot at any player depending on how much you want to bid. When you run out of cash y ou have to wait until free agency hits to fill out the rest of your roster

Ah, I got ya. Well I hate the Yankees, but I demand to be the Yankees of our league so I can have an endless amount of money and just buy all the "talent" and then piss it away by not winning a championship.

Is this something that goes on over the course of a few days, or is like a live draft? Sorry about all the questions.

its new to espn but it should take about as long as a live draft since once you get past the big names it goes fast. but like i said if people prefer a snake draft it can be easily changed

Cool cool. Never done the auction draft before so this should be interesting. I'll sign up later today. Thanks for letting me join.

I forgot that I just pm'ed this info to one person. I haven't set the draft because I want people to get signed up and decide whether we want to have an auction (which it looks like we will). Next saturday is the latest we can draft

What if we aren't available when the draft is set?

according to espn.com, if people are missing then they will go into an autodraft mode that nominates players for bid and will draft for you. If too many people can't be there then we would probably have to go regular live draft with the missing people using default rosters

I still prefer the head-to-head leagues but whatever you decide to do is fine. It should be fun. :D

its head to head........your score is based on indiv categories out of 12.

So far gavin, dweller, and bdizzle have yet to sign in plus we need one more to join for 12
