NICE! Another Chief fan in the world. I like you even though you are a griz fan.
I too, am a Chiefs fan. I know of two of us in Bozeman, didn't know any others existed. Good to know we are slowly gaining.
When I was still in school at MSU there was a big gathering of Chiefs fans at the Hideway every Sunday to watch the games. Maybe they crawled up and shriveled away since then.
ya, there is actually a very annoying group of fans that are at specs every sunday. i only use the word annoying because i can't fo the life of me figured out how specs is a chiefs bar when the chiefs are so flippin far away. seriously, there are probably 10-15 guys, as well as their family and friends there every sunday.
do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?

Nice! Maybe I should drive 180 miles to Specs to watch the games on Sunday. I'm not too optimistic for this year, but maybe they will win more than 2. They did pick up the former donkey Lelie. He might have a little speed in his tank still

I'd call Lelie and official NFL bust. All the talent, but no drive, no heart, and a damned prima-donna. Give him the drive of Rod Smith or the heart of Tim Brown, and he'd be a really good WR.

I kow it's early but did ANY of you think they'd be 4-0 at this point? I did. Super Bowl champs is still a long shot but not quite so far fetched now is it?

THANK YOU!!! i mentioned this on another thread but i just have never understood the love fest with romo. and in his defense i don't think it's his fault. i mean, the guy seems like he'd be sweet to party with. he pounds hot chicks which i always admire. he's loaded. great golfer. all around seems like a good guy. when he was made the starter i had no beef because he was the only option. but then people started hyping him up big time. he has never gotten his team in the playoffs, and seems like a choke artist. yet he still got signed to a HUGE contract. no this season it's more of the same. sure every now and then he makes some great plays and some great throws. but i just don't see him being a top 10 or even a top 15 qb in this league. and i really don't believe he's the guy to get the cowboys over the hump. yet every day i have to listen to guys talk about him like he's some superstar who unfortunately just had a bad game! well when all you have is sub par games.....you're not a superstar.

You have got to be kidding me. They never try to ram Romo down your throat. All ESPN does is talk trash about him and the Cowboys. Just because he is a popular player on a popular team you have a problem with him. No, he's not playing well at all. I'm not defending him at all in that sense. But you are fooling yourself if you think the media is in a lovefest with him. The sports media are a bunch of hypocrites. He has a good game and it's all praise for his ability. He has a terrible game and it's nothing but how he can't hack it. If he wins a playoff game, this whole point is moot. One player doesn't make a team. The coaching staff is more to blame for Romo overall than he is. Wade Phillips is a terrible coach and Jason Garrett can't call the right plays. One play and Dallas would have won that game. You wouldn't be as down on Romo now if that would have happened.
And Romo has gotten his team in the playoffs, whitetrashgriz. He's been bounced in the first game each time but he's been there. I think 11,552 passing yards and 85 TDs with 50 INTs in 4 seasons is better than "subpar." He has a career passer rating of 93.3. If that trend continues he would only be behind Peyton Manning and Steve young all-time. He is 62 pass attempts away from qualifying for the passer rating record list (1500 attempts). I honestly don't think he's that bad of a QB overall. I think some of you need to take off the Cowboy hating sunglasses. I'll agree with you he can't be considered an elite QB until he takes his team through the playoff and beyond, but you can't call him a terrible QB overvall.

ya i forgot about the playoffs, i was just going by memory. so for that i was off. and i never said he was a terrible qb. and i never said WHO was ramming him down our throats. I agree it has much to do with the fact that he plays for the cowboys. one could make the same argument that they too are "rammed" down our throats. They haven't been a great team forever yet they still get many national televised games because they are "americas" team. and with that, romo too has been forced on us. i'm not saying it's espn, but media as a whole have a huge woody for this guy and I have often wondered why. and it has nothing to do with hating the cowboys for me. i really don't care one way or another about them. i think jerry jones is a great owner. they're stadium is amazing. marion barber is one of my favorite players. and crappy roy williams was my first reciever in fantasy this year!

but i can see why some people do have hate for the cowboys for some of the reasons i have listed. because they are the cowboys we have to hear about them all the time. maybe you don't notice because you are a fan of them, but for someone who isn't a fan of that team you really notice all of the hype. and as i said, i don't think it's romo's fault, but it appears that they are trying to turn him into something he might not be. his numbers are alright but he doesn't win big games and more importantly you'd think a team so committed to winning wouldn't put up with only making the playoffs twice and getting bounced both times. to put it in perspective, i'm a huge vikes fan but it's getting pretty over the top with all of the vikes/favre coverage. anytime you turn the tv on they're talking about them. obviously adding favre was a good move for the team, and being 3-0 is nice, but not everyone cares to hear about them every day. and i think for the most part that's how people feel about romo and the cowboys. it's not a hate thing with me...i just don't see how his play is worthy of all the attention.

Romo has the best numbers (maybe rating) of any NONE DRAFTED QB. I heard it on ESPN Radio on the way to Denver.
FWIW, after seeing him in person, I can see why he wasn't drafted.
Titans 0-4, Jets 3-1, Cincy 3-1, Denver 4-0...crazy year in the NFL. Cowboys could be 4-0 but they choked against the Giants and got out-coached by a 30-something rookie. 42 pass attemps...when you're leading or tied the whole damn game? 25 rushes, I'll bet 10-12 the 2nd half. Oh, lets not forget about throwing the last 2 passes at the best CB in the league. Jesus...
I was impressed w/ Denver. I still think they'll be right around .500 but who am I to say, I thought they'd be 1-3 right now.

(loss at Cincy, not Dallas)

Well, I could have forseen 2-2 (Imean, come on. Cleveland? Oakland? BWAHAHAHAH, those teams are the laughingstock of the NFL right now...), but never expected 4-0. And it's been the Defense carrying the torch - who'da thunk?
I agree with you on the .500 part, but who knows, maybe they'll overacheive like Miami did last season and Cleveland did in '07. They certainly have been underacheiving lately.

.500??? Are you kidding me? With that defense, I'll take that bet. What's the bet?

9-7 is "around" .500.

At this point, they have as many wins as I thought they would at the end of the season, so right now, it's all gravy....
I ain't gonna get greedy and expect big things. Still think they might be a paper tiger, but ??????? Stranger things have happened.

Romo could have stats double that of Eli Manning and he is still NOT A WINNER!
Sorry, you cant sell romo, he doesnt WIN neither does who ever the QB is for the Pack.
