Keep dreaming they won't get out of the 2nd round and they will never win another NBgAy Championship with Kobe, he's a cancer.

Who cares?
Seriously, it's the NBA, the next closest thing to WWE.
Eric Curry

Does this guy still play? 'Cause I quit watching the NBA around the time he left.

Were you even born yet?
FWIW, he's one of my all-time favs. Except for that windmill dunk he had on Cooper.

While I hate to admit it, yes I was, hence my moniker "Old Skool Cat." The Dr. was my favorite player of all time; the sole reason I became a 76ers fan when he was traded from the Nets in 1976. The 76ers won the NBA title in my senior year (1983) of high school, with what I consider to be still one of the greatest teams ever in the NBA: Julius "Dr. J" Erving, Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins, Moses Malone, Bobby Jones, Maurice Cheeks, and Andrew Toney.
After Dr. J retired in 1987, I still rooted the Sixers, mainly because they now had this overweight forward named Charles Barkley, who to this day, is still one of my favorite athletes. BTW, the windwill dunk he had on Cooper was dubbed "Rock The Baby" by sportscaster Chick Hearns, and is still considered one of the greatest NBA dunks of all time!!!

If we can't stop Howard it'll be a short, sad series.

So what do fellow Laker's fans think about replacing Ariza with Artest? I personally don't get it. Ariza played great all through the playoffs, and is only going to get better. I wasn't really all that impressed with Artest's play during the Lakers series against the Rockets, and who knows how long it will be before he "goes postal" again. Regardless of what moves the other contenders made, I don't think that LA had to do something so risky in order to be considered the favorite going into next season, but I guess we shall see, eh????

i am not a laker fan whatsoever, but they just wrapped up the title again next year. significant upgrade from ariza, and an enforcer. now noone will screw with kobe. i believe it took 1 day after that signing for Jackson to get on board for next year. he is no dummy.
I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

ariza played good in the playoffs. artest is WAY better than ariza. and for a guy who will lock down any opponents best guy, his offense is pretty good. artest is one of the smartest players in the game, and i don't see this move being risky at all.
do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?
