It's just good to see baseball again. The sun is shining in Bozeman (for the first time in what seems like a MONTH), but it's a nice day for opening day. If it were up to me, tomorrow would be a holiday.

Maybe they can start off hot like last year and then fold like a lawn chair. Still, that rook's homer was nice in his first MLB at bat.

Anybody know if Bresnan has reached an agreement with the M's to broadcast their games this year? I haven't heard anything nor have I been able to find anything online and the person who answered the phone at Bresnan was clueless (didn't even know who the Mariners were... to be honest, I kinda forgot about 'em midway through last season )

I did notice that the list of affiliated radio stations for Montana decreased significantly. According to this link, Kalispell is the only area that will broadcast the games.

I guess I'll just have to tune in tonight and see if they broadcast the M's or show a 5-yr old rerun of the World Cricket Championships

Yeah, but they only showed half the games last year and didn't show opening day. Bresnan apparently didn't want to pay for the entire package of games. With the economy the way it is I'd be surprised if they pick up any of the games this year.

I do agree however, cable in any form sucks.

The only choice is DirecTV everything else is crap.

Granted it was only Opening Day but Felix had an impressive start, Griffey homered in his first game back with the M's, and the Mariners put a 6-1 beatdown on the Twinkies...... why would I expect Bresnan to carry that?

Very true. If you can win every series you'll have one hell of a team. I was watching the Cubs game with my friend at Hooligans on Tuesday. When they lost she was like "Oh man they weren't supposed to lose. You're pissed aren't you." When I told her they would probably lose another 70 times she about died. Then I hit her and told her to stop asking stupid questions.
