So will Blake Griffin be a bust just like all the other #1's?

shaq?
tim duncan?
yao ming?
lebron james?
dwight howard?

then, some others that are decent....
iverson
elton brand
kenyon martin

the only busts i see are...
olowakandi
kwame brown
andrew bogut

jury still out....
bargnani
oden

griffin is a way better talent then we've seen picked number 1 overall since howard, however, it's the clippers drafting him so i assume he'll blow out a knee, get hit by a car, or create a drug habit.

Greg Oden
Kwame Brown
Joe Smith

Face it when it comes to the NBA and all their high paid executives rating talent, there isnt one person on this board that couldnt do an equivalent job.

Clipper bust: Yes

NBA bust: No

He's a quick beast. He'll still be playing in the Staples Center in three years, but will be wearing purple and yellow. [-o<

hakeem olojuwon
patrick ewing
david robinson

and we don't know about oden yet. out his entire first season. didn't look good last year but it was basically his first year in the league. however, after seeing some of the picks last night, i tend to agree with your assesment about these guys rating talent! #-o

once again i entered the only day of the year i can have hope for my team, and once again even with new ownership i am baffled. who takes 3 point gaurds in the first round? the Timberwolves. preparing myself for another miserable year. royals fans i feel your pain. who do you see as having a good draft? bad draft?

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

You will think they were BRILLIANT if 2 of your point guards get hurt!

I heard they were going to trade Lawson to Denver? Maybe, Maybe not?

i'm also a timberwolves guy and was a little surprised by some of ourt picks. of course, we are the team that drafted brandon roy, and traded him for foye! #-o i actually didn't have a huge problem with our picks. we only took lawson because we're getting a denver first round pick for him. what you need to remember is what an awful draft class this was. some of the worst talent i've seen in the last 10 years. minus whatever year kenyon martin was the first overall pick! 2000 or 2001 i think. i mean, tyler hansbourough was a top 15 pick! most drafts he would have been a 2nd rounder. austin daye? brandon jennings? jordan hill? pretty weak imo. that said, i wish we would have taken curry instead of flynn. i like both guys, but curry is a scorer. once griffin, harden, and thabeet were gone there really was no need to go big because the talent pool was near empty. i think this was just the first day on many moves the wolves are going to make. they drafted the best available guys, and will probably look to shop some of them for veteran talent, and probably try an boost that front court as well.

just came across this. very funny, and kind of echos my thoughts. another great read.
