troubled guy. kind of erratic the last couple years. wonder if he shot himself in the chest on purpose in hopes they examine his brain like they have the other former players that took their own lives. :(

Wow, shocking. Seau was one of the best football players I've ever watched. Hope his family gets through this OK.

He lived just down the road from me. My roomate ran into him just a few days ago. From what I have seen of him on TV the last few years he seemed very bright and articulate. I feel bad for his kids!

I wondered about that too. I hope they do, we (I'm using "we" to refer to humanity as a whole here) need to accumulate as much data as we possibly can so we can work to make football (and sports in general) safer for future generations.
