Bobcat fans can count on the old saying that there is always next year. But how many years can you go with that? When will you win and advance deep in to the playoffs?

Your coach Kramer said you went "deep" into the playoffs this year. Looks to me me the team won one game and were beat badly in the next. If that is what your coach calls "deep" in the playoffs, I wish you folks a lot of luck in the future playoff series.

I think after where this program has been, we are in a sweet position. Going 0-11 in 2000 and then making it to the playoffs 3 times and getting to the final 8 one of those times in the next 6 years is pretty damn good. Get a life.

aaah, well just off the cuff, one win is not deep into the system. Seems that is just into the system.

What do believe one win is "deep" into the go?

It took DD 3 years to get deep in the Playoffs, and he's the best ever to play in the BSC. So take a deep breath and tell yourself everything is ok. Missoula wasn't built in a day.

Point well taken.

Wish you all the best of luck in going "deep" into the playoffs per your coach Kramer next year and the year and year and year and year after that. One win does not pack it. Go "deep" Cats.

Remind me. How many national championships does Appy have in football?

Do not know, but what does that have to do with Kramer saying State has a chance of advancing "deep"into the playoff system?

Yeah, I guess no one's ever defined what "deep" in the playoffs means but only being down 7 at the start of the 4th quarter vs the #1 seed in the second-most hostile environment in IAA is definitely more than I expected at the end of September.

Overall, I'd honestly say that we LOST this game every bit as much as Appy won it. If we are only a couple mistakes away from the semi's, I'd say we're moving in the right direction.

( DD )Dave Dickensen, if that is who you are referring to, would not even make the top ten in BSC history as being the best player ever. Who are you joking? Guess your history isn't good enough to know all the greats who have played for both Griz and Cats.

I have to eat my words on that comment about Dave Dickenson. He was one of the top ten quarterbacks in BSC history but when you add him in with the other 38 three time all conference winners, there were a lot of good ones. I was not in Montana at the time of Dickenson's era, but did follow Montana football. I have also followed him since then in Canada.

No actually Lulay would not make the top ten list. Kelly Bradly in 84 was probably the best Bobcat QB although Lulay would rate at the top. But neither are in DD league obviously.
We are talking about BSC history and all positions sinced 1963.. Go back boyz and do your homework, check out the BSC history site. There were 2 four time all conference players, 38 three timers, including Dickenson. That is a lot of players to compare Dickenson to. To say he is the best all time player, leads to a difference of opinion. More impressive about Dickenson, as I did my research, was his 3 time Offensive MVP awards but more impressive yet was his 3 time academic all conference awards. He was a great quarterback but there is a lot of competition for all time greatest player designation.

All conference quarterbacks alone included John Friesz of Idaho 87,88,89 Jaimie Martin Weber State in 90-91 who also won the presitgioous Payton Award. So to say DD was the greatest only shows your Griz colors and biased, but that is OK because I have mine too.
Sorry to shake you boyz all up so much!!

Well you seem to be jumping around a lot. First you said that DD isn't part of the all-time Top 10 BSC offensive players. I would disagree but I suppose it's up for debate and any objective analysis would swing in that direction. Now you're arguing against the idea that DD was the greatest BSC offensive player of all time. No one's made that assertion that I've seen. What exactly is your point?

DD is clearly a top ten nominee all time. This would be a fun thread for the summer months, when we're all starving for anything football.
