It's from the December 2000 National Championship game in Chattanooga between Montana and Georgia Southern.
Now, I recognize there may be some unfamiliar terms to cat fans in my post, so I've thoughtfully included a glossary to simply it for you:
- National Championship: The final game of the year, featuring the best two teams in the nation. The winner is declared "National Champion".
Chattanooga: A city in Tennessee in which the National Championship game is played every year.
December: The final month of the year, when only the finest college football teams are still playing.
Montana/Georgia Southern: Two fine college football teams that ofen play in December in Chattanooga for National Championships.
Grizzlies --> Atlanta Braves of 1-AA

Pretty poor analogy, ginwa.
Bobcats = San Francisco 49ers of the FCS:
Multiple championships, NEVER lost a title game (griz fans will never be able to make that claim), the last championship coming quite some time ago, but a team once again on the rise!
Grizzlies: 2-5 when it matters most

True, but if the reason for being able to make that claim was that we hadn't
been to a title game in 23 years, I'd probably be happy to have lost a few...
I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

I guess if I were in your shoes, I'd make that argument also. Thank goodness -- as a Griz fan -- I'm not.

At least since you've been a Griz fan for last 10 years or so.

As much as I'd actually like to admit I am young enough only to have been a fan for 10 years, my driver's license would call me a liar. No, my old butt used to sit on those slivery bleachers at Dornblazer

Okay, I'll give you a break then if you sat at Dornblazer!

It's ironic, isn't it, that a griz fan would "razz" us about not winning a National Championship since 1984 considering it took dUMb, what, 100 years or so to finally win their first???

And that's only in football.

Nah not really. The Roman Empire was also once a great and powerful force....but not so much today.
