grizinwa: is there absolutely any doubt in your mind that this sort of thread - started by you - will not provoke Cat fans to a) respond when griz lose (eventually in the playoffs) and b) not want to cheer on the griz during the playoffs?
i will pull for the griz (players not fans) despite the few jack@sses like you and your griz pals on BN, but pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzz don't complain when it happens cause YOU instigated it!

So if the Griz lose on Saturday... a bunch of cat fans can get on here and Egriz and start pointing out how the Griz can't win once they get outside of their fluffy schedule and the Big Sky conference, and they're also-rans against the quality FCS teams in the South and East... but that will be OK because it's "just good smack"...
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

See, this is precisely the point. Perhaps our schedule WASN'T so "fluffy". At least, you guys couldn't seem to handle it. But yes, if you bring good smack, it's ALWAYS okay. Bring weak-a$$ stuff and you'll get mocked.catatac wrote:So if the Griz lose on Saturday... a bunch of cat fans can get on here and Egriz and start pointing out how the Griz can't win once they get outside of their fluffy schedule and the Big Sky conference, and they're also-rans against the quality FCS teams in the South and East... but that will be OK because it's "just good smack"...

A schedule in which about 3/4 of the games were played at home isn't necessarily "fluffy", but it sure is convenient. What was it, about 6 weeks straight before the griz even had to leave for a road game?GrizinWashington wrote:See, this is precisely the point. Perhaps our schedule WASN'T so "fluffy". I'm highly certain you'd never dismiss the home field advantage the griz get at Wa-griz stadium.

I think all home field advantage is slightly overrated.

When the word "ALL" is used it doesn't mean "everywhere but WGS" it means ALL.lifeloyalsigmsu wrote:How so?AlphaGriz1 wrote:I think all home field advantage is slightly overrated.
I've seen it everything but overrated at Wa-griz.

I"m not concerned with the semantics you're using to explain "ALL".

If your a confident team or a better team you win anywhere, homefield advantage is a mental thing. It's all in your head.
I am not saying there isn't something to it but strong minded people/teams don't buy into it and win where ever they play.

I think the mental thing lies more with the visiting team than the home field team (and in a detrimental way). That aspect seems obvious to me.AlphaGriz1 wrote:If your a confident team or a better team you win anywhere, homefield advantage is a mental thing. It's all in your head.

But you're right about teams that are better and/or more confident. Much of everything is in one's head.
