I think you've got it- I couldn't figure out what the hell 'John's Route Beach' was about. Johnsrud on the Blackfoot makes sense.Au Blue wrote:I think you mean Johnsrud.BearCat wrote:-

No problem. Johnsrud is great... just wish people would keep it clean. There are weekends when you can collect more beer cans than you can fit in the back of a Budweiser truck.BearCat wrote:Thank you! That is what I meant.Au Blue wrote:I think you mean Johnsrud.BearCat wrote:-

Im suprised everyone seems so happy about the Press Box. Yeah its a true sports bar covered in Griz stuff( so basically no way to go wrong) but, the food sucks, the service is terrible, and the TV set up isn't great. The waitresses are all hot however.
One of my favorite sports bars in town is the Desperado. If you like hot wings this is the place for you, you either get hot ones or sissy's, go with the hot, best hot wings I've ever had! Only downside is that it can get a little smoky, only serve beer (which is fine with me), and the tvs are a bit dated, but the setup is perfect. The Despo is across from the YMCA on Russell, not near dtown, but worth the trip.

I'd take either Flathead Lake or Canyon Ferry lake with Bozeman. That my friends would be a utopia!BearCat wrote:Thanks for the compliment. However, I respect GoKats opinion. I've always believed that if you could somehow combine Missoula and Bozeman into one town it would definately be a Utopia.GrizinWashington wrote:Whoa! Hard to argue with anyone of BearCat's suggestions.

5700, you had me sold until the "smoky" part. I'll venture over there after Montana has gone all-smokeless. I'll admit, after living in a place where there isn't any smoke in bars, I've become a wimp and just can't deal with it anymore.griz5700 wrote:Im suprised everyone seems so happy about the Press Box. Bolded for emphasis. Hot waitresses and lots of good TV's are all I need in a sports bar. Anything else is just gravy.griz5700 wrote:Im suprised everyone seems so happy about the Press Box. I have a friend who lives in Lincoln, Nebraska (not exactly a shabby place to be if you like to be surrounded by gorgeous women). He has to be in Missoula a couple of weeks a year for business. He called me last summer from the Press Box and raved -- I swear I'm not making this up -- for 20 straight minutes about the hotties at the Box. I was howling.BozoneCat wrote:Bolded for emphasis. Yeah I can't wait until Montana bans it from every bar. But there is usually not a lot of people there and they have a good ventilation system. If you like hot wings you have to check this place out. Plus the owners seem like good guys.GrizinWashington wrote:5700, you had me sold until the "smoky" part. I'll venture over there after Montana has gone all-smokeless.
