What will be the prices for tailgate spots in the standard lot? Will there be more places to park RVs? Any chance of getting Mike Hope's entourage of bad food and underage drinking out of there? They take up the whole end of the lot closest to the stadium.

Apparently it's not a priority anymore for businesses to try and support football programs. We always bitch on this thing about how the community doesn't do enough to support the Bobcats and when somebody actually does, they get brought up negatively. If you actually paid attention, there is no beer given to people going through lines. The most you get is 2 more RV's at the most anyway. Use your head, just because you bring your own food, most don't and personally I think it's a nice gesture to give back to those that don't.

I'm sorry if my comments offended you but I really don't consider that set up in the tailgate lot with the music blaring and hosts drinking beer an example of community business supporting athletics. I would imagine the main reason for that set up is to get the students and tailgaters to come to the bar after the game and their presence there does nothing to encourage people to go in and watch the game or support the team. Do they shut down after kickoff so people will go and watch the game like the corporate room does? I don't think so. I don't think they're supporting athletics, I think they're supporting partying.

STFU! Mike Hope's group has always been and is one of the biggest supporters of MSU athletics in town. Way to go. You just pissed off a huge sector of boosters with that post.

I have tailgated in that area the past few years. Mike's group does close down at kickoff. I have seen no problems come from that area. The guys setting up are very polite and welcoming. The wild bunch is more in the middle of the parking lot.

All I know is that if they keep creating rules of what you cannot do, the number of tailgaters is going to keep going down.

And while on that topic, it should be clear that you wont get your RV in to a tailgate spot with an hour before gametime! There were countless times I saw this happen last season, then the driver had the nerve to be pissed that he couldn't get a spot!

IMO tailgating brings in a lot of people to the games...it fun to socialize...drink a few beers and have some burgers. No one is hurting anyone and it gives a good fun atmosphere. Yes we do get a little rowdy before the cat/griz game but what do you honestly expect? Also every team in the nation has tailgating and big sponsers like Hope's.

I love the Bobcats and the Miami Hurricanes an unhealthy level
