why I don't like the griz

You know, it was just two years ago that the Griz played in the National Semi-Finals, and just 4 years since they played in the Championship. It's not as though the Griz haven't gone deep in the playoffs recently. It's funny the cat fans never mention those years....

Montana has far more playoff wins this decade than anyone not named App State, and even that is very, very close.

When the jealousy runs as deep as it does in bozo, you have to expect them to try to hang their hat on any little shred of failure we might have. Just remember they are our little brothers and we need to play nice with them.

My question: How can a team that routinely gets deep into the playoffs and has the 2nd most playoff wins over the past 8 years (and FAR AND AWAY the most over the past 15 years) be overrated? I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

Yes, we lost last year and it sucked. But bad Sh&t happens in the playoffs. We were playing, quite likely, the 6th or 7th best team in the country. I don't care who you are, you're going to lose some of those games. But to suggest that that means the Griz are overrated is flat-out silly.

As for playing for 2nd place, wasn't it you who said you'd rather sit at home and NOT make the playoffs?? What's that playing for, 98th place??

I thought most teams in the Big Sky played for 2nd place in their own conference. Year in and year out the Griz win the BSC and the rest well they fight for 2nd. Besides this year of course. Damn u Weber

I would have to argue with this post. I for one love this rivalry. Most Griz love their team, and their faithfulness shows through. They boast pride in their team and I completely support that. If the griz fans weren't so boisterous for their team, our rivalry would be extrememly boring. I for one have no idea why someone would root for The UM Griz. But I support their commitment non-the-less.

In regards to the fact that they host hardly any humility. Yelling profanities and running their mouths. I believe most hardcore cat fans are in the same boat. Not a cat game goes by when there isn't a chant being yelled through the crowd "eat $#it Grizzlies, GO CATS GO" I see kids younger than 10 joining in. I think it's great however and I'm in there chanting with them and think it is very healthy for both sides to completely loath each other.

I for one hope the rivalry continues to be aggressive and distastful. If I ever see a Cat Fan and Griz Fan holding hands, I will know that the Anti-Christ has come, there is peace on earth, and the world will end soon. READ REVELATION in the bible. I believe there is a part in there about the Grizzly and the Bobcat eating grapes together or something...
