Even in Baseball they have a thing called the modern era. Anything before 1900 doesn't count as a stat.
Espn only counts sports from the last 25 years.
To put it simply about 15 teams say they won a NC the same year the cats tied Indiana home for the deaf. To even make it more simple for you...No playoffs no NC.

Hmm, let's address this point by point:jagur1 wrote:Even in Baseball they have a thing called the modern era. Anything before 1900 doesn't count as a stat.

So baseball's Statute of Limitations is 100+ years? What is college football's then?
What do you mean ESPN only counts the last 25 years? Is that why they had their "Greatest Athletes of the 20th Century" shows? You mean ESPN NEVER mentions Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Jim Brown, Johnny Unitas, Roger Staubach, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Bill Russell, Bobby Orr, Gordy Howe, Bobby Jones or Ben Hogan? That's funny but I would SWEAR I've heard those names on ESPN before...
Could you please name the other 15 schools that are claiming a National Championship in 1956? And did you notify Division 1 that NONE of their football champions can claim their crowns because they don't have a playoff?
In closing, jag, I guess you only have another 15 years or so before you have to stop claiming any respect for the NC in 1995. Actually, maybe you should shut up about it NOW since it happened in the last century?! I really thought you were more level-headed than this, jag, but like all griz fans, I've obviously given you WAY too much credit. One of these days, maybe I'll stop doing that when it comes to folks from marijuanaville...

Gato you've always have know I don't respect the cat NAIA Chipper. I've spelled it out many times. A point we'll never agree on but I'll bring up as a dig from time to time.
ESPN: You've ever watch the top 25 moments by ESPN. They did a month of them on Baseball, Football, Hockey ect. Not once did they bring up any event that didn't happen durring the reign of ESPN. You have the liberal Media conspirecy...I thing ESPN is out to destroy all sports heritage that happend before they started broadcasting. The next time I see it I'll PM you.

So no BCS team has ever won a NC? Interesting....jagur1 wrote:Even in Baseball they have a thing called the modern era. Anything before 1900 doesn't count as a stat.
