Bryce the Bobcat
Bryce had been playing football for Montana State University for 7 or 8 years when the coach finally got a little nervous that the NCAA might start to notice.
He decides that it's time for Bryce to leave MSU but unfortunately Bryce is still at least 100 credits short of any kind of degree. Discussing the situation with the MSU head dean, they both agree that Bryce has been such a good Bobcat and so popular with the fans that they simply have to find a way to grant him a degree. The dean finds a seldom-used clause in the university by-laws and decides that if Bryce can pass one final oral exam, he can receive a degree.
Well, it's not long before word of Bryce's test gets around and soon all the MSU faithful want to be on hand to see him pass his test and get his degree.
Eventually, the dean and the coach decide that it would be a great public relations event to hold the proceedings at Bobcat stadium, so the event is scheduled...
On the big day, Bryce proudly walks out to the 50 yard line where he shakes hands with the dean in front of
25000+ screaming Bobcat fans. Everywhere he looks,
Bryce sees signs wishing him luck. After a minute or so, the dean raises his hands to silence the crowd and "Alright, Bryce, here you go. One question. If you get it right, I've got your diploma right here in my coat pocket."
A hush falls over the crowd as Bryce states "I'm ready, sir."
The dean says "Alright Bryce, what is two plus two?"
Bryce hesitates a moment and says, "six, sir."
A stunned hush falls over the crowd and not a word is heard. Then suddenly from the sidelines, the coach yells out. "Give him another chance!"
Instantly the crowd joins in and begins to chant, "give him another chance! Give him another chance!"
The dean smiles and waves and asks the crowd to calm.
Then again he asks Bryce. "Okay, I'll speak a little more clearly this time. What is two plus two?"
Nervously, Bryce stammers, "uh, eight.?."
This time the crowd does not hesitate. They clamor, "give him another chance! Give him another chance!"
The dean feels trapped. He has no choice now but to make the best of it and continue. He says, "please think hard about this Bryce. You can do it."
He held up one hand with two fingers showing and then held up his other hand with two fingers showing and asked. "Now Bryce, how many fingers is two fingers plus two fingers?"
Bryce looks at the raised fingers intently and his lips move silently as he counts the fingers. His face brightens and he shouts. "Four!"
And immediately, all 25,000+ Bobcat alumni, students, and fans leap to their feet, and scream in unison.
"GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE!!! GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE!!!

lets elaborate: Stephen Ambrose wrote a series or so of good historical novels. rtb i cannot assume that east coast griz will understand this, or the context of what you wrote, so i will tell him this:rtb wrote:Was Stephen Ambrose your teacher?

If you will notice that in my post I say "you must have received a writing degree from th Uof M" not you must have received an english degree from the U of M. See, read slowly so you understand, hopefully I am not typing to fast for you. An english degree means that you teach english, grammer and spelling and so forth, where as a writing degree or "english literature" means that you can at least come up with your own material when writing something. I really dont expect anybody from Hamilton to know that though, considering you spend most of your time being a wannabe Grizz and noticing how good looking your sister has become over the years.

Sorry I haven’t read every thing posted on bobkittennation.com. My little brother sent me the joke, it was the first time I read it, and so I thought I would share it. That’s the kind of guy I am. Very giving.Cattrack165 wrote:If you will notice that in my post I say "you must have received a writing degree from th Uof M" not you must have received an english degree from the U of M.
