Well, what else can one take away in comparing the Griz & the Cats with a common opponent, & a good one, at that? I'm a Griz fan. Why shouldn't I say that? Still, the issue remains WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE CATS DEFENSE IN THE SECOND QUARTER? All I'm saying is, if the Cats show the same defense in the 2d quarter to the Griz, as it did against SacSt, it's a no-brainer. Griz win. Simple as that. The Griz defense is far more consistent than the Cat defense. The Cats hold EWU to 7 points & turn around & allow UNC 61 points? You guys have a BIG defense problem. McGhee & offense will carry you far, but your D has serious consistency problems. Ok, key D players were out for the SacSt game. Indicates your D has no depth. UM has depth at all positions.ThunderCat wrote:And you didn't infer, you flat out stated that based on the outcomes of um's and MSU's respective games with Sac, the griz would win this years Cat/griz. Go home!

First, altho MSU beat EWU & UM didn't, MSU's blowout convinced me MSU would be a power to reckon with in the BSC & I was not (& am not) surprised to see MSU ranked ahead of UM. It has happened before. I thought, "Well, we'll see." I know UM has some growing pains & it looked like MSU's game was finally coming together with Ash's decision to go with McGhee, because it seemed to me that MSU's recent problems were due to their QBs. So, I got interested in the Cats, being the other MT school.coachouert wrote:How come you weren't on here comparing the teams after Eastern Washington? Convenient.
Then, came the SacSt game & I went, "What the hell?" If the Cats had beat the Hornets 64-50 or 64-45, or whatever, I'd have gone, "MSU will be the clear champion of the BSC this year." How can your D hold an EWU to only 7 points, yet turn around & allow SacSt 61 points? You guys have to be concerned about that. I have to say that SacSt is not the team of last year. I've already said it will finish much higher in the BSC than predicted.
I imagine, just considering final scores in the 4 games (the Griz & EWU, the Griz & SacSt, MSU & EWU, MSU & SacSt) that UM & MSU this year are pretty evenly matched up. I expect the Griz/Cat game to be a determiner of the BSC championship, with the Griz winning, of course. As the season goes, the Griz are gelling more & will be at full stride for the game. The Cats, I don't know. Will the inconsistency of the past since Kramer still plague today's Cats?

First off...I don't give two S***s what you think of the cats.GrizMadman wrote:First, altho MSU beat EWU & UM didn't, MSU's blowout convinced me MSU would be a power to reckon with in the BSC & I was not (& am not) surprised to see MSU ranked ahead of UM. Second...This is the same argument the friz make about Montana kids. No matter who we beat, you beat someone else by more.
(friz fan) Friz have more Montana kids
(cat fan) No actually the cats have more
(friz fan) But we have more STARTERS from Montana
(cat fan) Actually..the cats started more Montana kids
(friz fan) But ours are at key positions.......
Third...The Sac game was weird I will give you that, but so was the friz beating ISU last year by what 10-7?
Forth...IT'S CAT/GRIZ
Fifth...shut up
