Journey songs I can consistently listen to:

Don't Stop Believin'
Lights
Any Way You Want It
Wheel in the Sky

And maybe one more I can't think of right now.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Ok, who's more deserving between KISS and Rush?

Musicianship definitely goes to rush.
Neither has had many hits, but KISS has sold more albums.
The "more well-known" band would also be kiss.

I guess I'd go with KISS in a close one.

I agree. The intense guitar solos and music abilities definitely goes to Rush. That being said, I've never been a fan of their music with the exception of a couple of songs.

KISS on the other hand, had a better "rock & roll" feel and their showmanship helps beat out Rush in the "Deserving of the HOF" category.

You're so far off with that statement... wow

Most of these songs were in the top ten at some point, somewhere in the world (not just US rankings)

Wheel In The Sky
Lights
Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'
Any Way You Want It
Who's Crying Now
Stone In Love
Don't Stop Believin'
Open Arms
Separate Ways
Faithfully
Send Her My Love

Might be top ten but it doesn't mean I like all of them. Like I said, 5 I can consistently listen to.

I know it's playoffs, but I'm closing the circle here.

Made it in:

Guns 'n Roses
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Faces/Small Faces
Donovan
Beastie Boys
Laura Nyro

Reading some of the coverage, I have heard GnR and Laura Nyro referred to as the "more obvious choices" in this year's class. Huh? I thought the Beastie Boys were a more obvious choice, relatively, and I didn't think they really even belonged on the ballot. GnR put out, what, maybe 5 legitimate records as a legitimate band (Appetite, Lies, Illusion 1 and 2, Spaghetti Incident)? Bottom line, they are being voted in for Appetite and the whistle intro to Patience.

I personally own close to 2,000 vinyl albums, 700 CD's and have close to 7,000 songs on my iTunes - and my collection is diverse. Everything from Napalm Death to Joni Mitchell. I'll say it again, I had to google Laura Nyro. 'nuff said.

In my book, RHCP was the only "slam dunk" on the list. At least they didn't ****** that up.

Laura Nyro is not Rock 'n Roll. Period
