Whats the next smack from a Griz fan?

You need to take of those blue and gold tinted glasses. I realize that a win against the GRIZ equates to a successful season for the kitties. While we love to beat the cats (8-2 for the last 10, 17-3 for the last 20), there’s much more to Griz Football than a win over the cats.

While I'll agree that UM is probably the best 1AA setting for a football game in the country, I still laugh at the fact that Griz fans just keep bringing up the past when it comes to Cat/Griz. Maybe Hauck hates the Cats so much cuz he hasn't beat them yet? I hope your little streak comforts you again after we walk out of Missoula with another win in Washington-Bobcat Stadium.

And yes, the last couple years, beating you did equate to a successful season because that game gave us a share of the BSC title and a playoff berth. So yes, beating you was a big deal the last couple years. Maybe Griz fans do like the Cats, they seem to want us in the playoffs, they can't seem to keep us out when they have the chance.

Most GRIZ fans I know quitely root for the cats. They like seeing Montana kids and Montana teams do well.

I grew up a few years in Missoula (I moved around a lot). I was a big Griz fan, I won't lie. I was at the game when the Griz beat Stephen F. Austin 70-12 or whatever that massacre was. The Dickenson era. I still root for the Griz as long as them winning isn't detrimental to the Cats season. So I wouldn't mind them having a loss more than us going into Cat/Griz.

Hell, I didn't even really like the Cats my first year here in college. Both my parents were Griz, I was brainwashed as a kid to be a Griz fan. But 4 years here in Bozeman, and I can say I'm a big as Cat fan as anyone. I haven't missed a home game in 2 years, and have made trips to several road games on my strict budget.

I have nothing against the Griz, as long as they lose/share the Sky with the Cats again.

Lets see, 1) can't win in a dome - oops, broke that 2) Can't win homcomeing -- oops, broke that 3) Can't beat the Griz -- oops, broke that 4) Can't average 12,000 a game for a season, oops .. gonna break that 5) Best tailgating in Montana -- ooops, have always had that 6) Aren't on Tv every week .. oops, broke that.


Lets see, anything else we left out? 7) Host a playoff game this year ---> next on the menu.

NOT butz in seats. Anyone that watched the Cal Polly game knows the only ones left in the seats at the end of the 4th Qrtr was the BAND ! They had to stay!

I was there in the stands, freezing my butt off .. and yes I stayed to watch the terrible ending to the game. They ran through us at the end like a knife through butter. That was the series where Marudas was lost for the season though.
