Bobby's Escort

Post by grizhatr » Wed Nov 03, 2004 2:57 pm

Since no one has posted any smack today, thought I would bring something up that is a little odd. Why is it that UM is the only team (in the Big Sky)that deems themselves worthy of a Highway Patrol escort at the games? I seem to remember something being said about this on Egriz sometime ago, but what really gives on this? Its kind of like Judy Martz and hers. Maybe they share this guys salary? Any comments?

The MT Hwy Patrol officer to whom you refer to is a volunteer...

Does he use a patrol car? If so, who "volunteers" the money to cover gas, insurance, maintenance, etc...

Barely remember

I remember that this program was actually started as a way to reward a patrolmen each week by allowing him to be on the sidelines "protecting" Bobby. I think it was a way for the MT Highway patrol to get a free sideline pass to each game.

I think the position is considered voluntary so the guard actually isn't paid. It is funny, but not a big deal only problem is does anybody really want that reward?

With all due respect, it is probably a good thing Booby and Judy have police escorts - there are probably a large number of people out there who wouldn't mind getting their hands on these idiots!

I think it was actually posted last year about this time. Anyway, I just think it looks ridiculous. My only point is maybe he needs it because he is such a p*ssy that he needs protection!

.....................El Gato!

I think Bobby Hauck looks ridiculous with this Cop "protecting" him - well, actually Booby probably does need protection, from himself and his mouth!

El Gato, therapy is expensive. Popping bubble wrap is cheap. You choose!
Earth is full. Go home! You know, I heard you were most likely to make it on 'America's Most Wanted' list for Internet stalking

In closing, el Gato, I heard you were most likely to be on Jerry Springer two months after your wedding on 'White Dumpster Trash Reveals All' special and saying 'Y'no wha aw'm a-sayin' Jerry' at least fifty-eight times!

I got the HP escrort right of town in Missoula 2 years after the Cat/Friz game. You got to thank those officers for pulling me over for such a serious crime. My blinker did not turn off when I pulled on to the Interstate. I wonder if it was the #6 license plate that caused the officer to pull me over.

And will retire later this year.

He told me that the escort service provided (no pun entended), was his organization's idea.

Wish you guys had some cops directing traffic after a game at the cat box. It really works great.

I remember seeing a game where a kid ran on the field and swiped Bear Bryant's famous hat. He was pissed. After that they all had escorts. Come to think of it I could use an escort. I see in the phone book that there is a section called escort services....I'll give them a call.
