Both teams play on the same surface it affects both teams the same way, good teams find a way to win in adverse conditions. It pains me to say but on both those occassions we were not the better team.
A coaching staff cant make an adjusment during a game to all of a sudden be better in the running game you moron. A muddy field slows down the game and gives the advantage to a team that likes to run the ball. When you build a team around a passing game and an established yet overpowering running game then a muddy field is going to be a disadvantage to you. Im not making excuses for UM because they lost fair and square--Im stating facts.
Quit being a phucking moron and think before you type. Ass wipe

Sorry-MSU has not been considered a "running" team since Ryan Johnson graduated. Yet we handled the field well enough that day. Next excuse??

Yeah, you might want to check your memory at the door. I seem to remember jizz fans telling all of us how Justin Green and Lex Hilliard were going to run all over us in that game. Funny how that didn't happen. Your almighty griz were, in fact, supposed to be the team with the overpowering running game, which should have provided a huge advantage in that game. Neither team could pass the ball, and that was supposed to be the Cats' strength. Lulay finished the game on one good leg, we hardly threw a pass in the 2nd half, but we just nutted up and socked your bunch of pussies in the mouth. Game over.
GO CATS GO!!!

evin groves got 160 rushing yards in that game, wow thanks for the memories bozonecat

if it was a muddy field we would not have been able to rush the ball at all since groves was a scat back

I wasn't talking about changing to be a runing team you stupid bastard, I was thinking about maybe stopping their team from running by at least trying a few different defensive schemes instead of the vanilla one hauck used.
It doesn't matter what you have a pasing team or a running team a field is a field. 11 players from each team each have 22 feet on that field and they all react to the same conditions.
I would also say that if any team had an advantage it would be the passing team but I don't believe in that carp so I won't.
Wind or rain may affect a passing team but that is the only leg you have to stand on.

Why did dUMb get in so much trouble by the NCAA for running their sprinklers before each and every home playoff game in 95 and 96?

Bullsh*t.
Lame attempt.
I know several MSU students from high school who all thought it was weird that the litterbox's field was so muddy before the game. If you want running the sprinklers claims look in your own back yard. And try it again this year.
The kitties will be owned for the second straight year. 19 of 21.

So... now you're going to start taking some of our wins away? 19 of 21 doesn't compute, even IF the unlikely scenario of you beating us in Bozeman happens...
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

The griz were outplayed in the mud bowl. Some would argue that they could have had an extra touchdown if Lulay hadn't of slipped when he was scrambling. There have been numerous occasions over the past 5 years where both teams have had their share of bad and missed calls.
UM did not get in trouble for running their sprinklerf before home playoff games. In fact they have actually paid for helicopters to hover over the field to dry it out in the past. I do believe that the NCAA suggested improved turf in order to get playoff games late in the season. This had more to do with poor footing on a frozen turf rather than "turning on sprinklers." I think that is delusions on Cat Grad's part.

Sorry for taking one of your precious three wins away
Unlikely scenario? Is that what you told to Chardon State and UC Davis?

You might as well get it in now because you'll be spending most of your time explaining why the griz aren't as good as expected. Bring your stick we'll bring the pepper spray.
