You do realize this thread started as a real thread on Bobcat sports? Got moved to Smack after GL pointed out the great need almost every cat fan has for bringing up the Griz all the time at anytime.

I'm 99% sure GL didn't bring up the Griz in a thread talking about a bad call in the Endzone in a game that the cats lost by 20+.

Couple things:

First -- I think you're taking me way too seriously. My first post on this thread was an attempt at humor (maybe a poor one, but it was what it was). If you didn't think it was funny, that's fine -- I'm a tax lawyer, so I'm used to people not laughing at my jokes -- but please don't take my post for anything other than what it was (i.e., a caricature of what I see on this board every day).

Second -- jaguar already touched on this, but since you're a newbie, I'll spell it out a little better for you -- at the time I responded to this thread, it was not in the smack section. This thread was part of a thread in the Bobcat Athletics section in which posters were complaining about Big Sky officiating (see the "Interception?" thread). GTLC's response to that thread (which became the first post in this thread, after the mods split the thread) was the following:

I was on the opposite end of the field - 10 rows up - at least 10 beers in me by that time and I was POSITIVE it was incomplete. (It might just be I have x-ray vision with beer goggles on). I've said it for years - Big Sky Officials are just not very good. I know they try but they get paid way to much to suck as bad as they consistantly do. Want proof - go read egriz and 23,000 football EXPERTS will tell you the same thing.

So...you see what I was making fun of, right? In the middle of a (non-smack, non-Griz related) football discussion about officiating, GTLC said, essentially "I've always said BSC officials suck...and by the way, if you go to eGriz, you'll see that Griz fans suck, too. P.S. FTG." (paraphrased, of course) I responded by poking fun in what I thought was a good-natured way, and thereafter, GTLC basically went off the deep end for a couple posts (though to his credit, he seems to have recovered now).

Are we all caught up now?

It wasn't a poor attempt at humor GL. It was funny and spot-on.

And the point gtlc, is that regardless of what topic is started on this board, it quickly turns into a Griz discussion. Not that we mind. Like I've said before, obsessive jealousy by your rivals is indicative that you're program is doing something right. Thank you for your continued praise.

You obviously don't know me - I don't obsess about the Griz at all. I'm just tired of all the BS I hear from Jizz fans about football - this, Hauck - that, Phenice (sp ?) - the other. Who's obsessive? I cannot get over how many posts are made (many on Bobcat Nation by the way) about how the Fizzlies storied program doesn't stack up to your expectations every week. Get a freekin' life dip sh#ts. Wait 'til your dumb ass team goes .500 some year - the population of Missoula will drop by several hundred idiots that will jump in the Clark Fork because the world has ended. Excellent point about this being Bobcat Nation. Part of being a true Bobcat is the bile sensation when it comes to the fuzz balls, and regarless of the exact forum the thread is in, you can expect slights and comments about the fuzz balls. If comments are too reckless, the mods do a good job of moving it to smack. If you granola bears can't take it, try another board.

You are Dorothy. You linked eGriz and UM fans to a thread discussing a bad call that occurred during an MSU vs. EWU game. If you are in fact not obsessed, tell me how eGriz and that call are intertwined or related at all.

Yeah..."blind rage" really wasn't a fair characterization of your post, I'll admit. Your post was the result of misunderstanding the origin of the thread, and it was a bit unnecessarily personal (particularly the part about my alleged inability to "keep up" with this thread, which was ironic in its own way), but not really "rageful."

And yes, I always have fun with these threads; if I didn't, I wouldn't be here.

That is the quote you are refering to right, so that opens the door for GL to change the thread completly to a smack fest. If you griz are that sensitive then I think you should stay over on egriz.
