Did you read the original post?? That’s the true definition of arrogant:MSU Toddler wrote:wtf eastcoast?
a true definition of an arrogant griz fan (who isn't really from Montana even).
happy thanksgiving!
... making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights; overbearingly assuming; insolently proud.
I was just kind of being an a$$
And by the way I'm from Montana, grew up in Great falls.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!

They always show the commercials at halftime. Should we use them to get the crowd pumped up before the game instead of the football ones?cats2506 wrote:Its also been pointed out that they dont ever show those commercials during your games, you have to go to the website to see them.GRZZ wrote:This whole thread is based on very subjective arguments from either side so I will not be joining. Autocat just expressed his opinion, it is probably the opinion of a majority of the posters on this board, and there is very little if any factual evidence to disprove his position. I dont think it's garbage. How many more of these threads do we have to have? In one of the 1,764 threads that state that msu is "the finest university in the BSC", the experts don't agree with you. But sh*t, why let facts stand in the way of a sh*tty argument?
Northwestern..... oh gawd. That was too much.
(oh, and the UM commericals are all shown during games. Many have even been shown nationally. The commercials also won numerous awards as being the "best university promotional" commercials). But keep on believing whatever you wish if it makes you feel better about yourselves).
And yes, this thread should be in SMACK section.

UM RANKED IN TOP 100 COLLEGES IN THE NATION
MISSOULA –
The University of Montana ranked 61st in the recently released 2007 Annual College Guide published by Washington Monthly magazine.
It is the third annual college guide released by the magazine, which is based in Washington, D.C.
The ranking system used for the guide includes several factors not given as much consideration in other university-ranking systems, including national service, student social mobility and research contributions.
UM President George Dennison expressed support for the ranking approach, noting that it emphasizes social mobility for students through access to Pell grants; defines research not only in terms of dollar volume but also by the number and percentage of graduates who go on to advanced work in their disciplines; and service, including participation in the Peace Corps and ROTC and other forms of civic engagement.
Paul Glastris, editor of the magazine, noted in a column that the magazine’s purpose in compiling the guide was to “focus on what colleges are doing for the country” rather than what
they do for individual students or faculty members. Rankings are based on how much a college or university “contributes to the higher good,” he wrote, adding that “nearly every challenge America now faces could be met in part by better harnessing the power of our colleges and universities.”
Texas A & M topped the list, with the Universities of California at Los Angeles, Berkley and San Diego taking the second through fourth spots. Several other state-supported schools also ranked high, while many Ivy League universities ranked lower than they typically rank in other surveys.
Cornell was the only Ivy League university to make the top 20 in the rankings.
Utah State University ranked 54th. The University of Colorado, Boulder ranked 58th and the University of Missouri, Columbia ranked 60th.
Few other schools similar in size and mission ranked as high as UM. Oregon State University ranked 75th, the University of Wyoming ranked 81st, Washington State University ranked 127th and Montana State University ranked 163rd.
It's time to just face up to it. msu is not a superior school to Montana. And if you believe it is, I hope the Magic Turkey delivers everything you wish for today. And just think: It's only one month until SANTA comes!UM RANKED AMONG NATION’S BEST COLLEGES
MISSOULA –
Only about 15 percent of four-year colleges in the United States are listed in the Princeton Review’s “Best 366 Colleges,” and The University of Montana made the grade.
The rankings in the new 2008 edition are based on Princeton Review’s survey of 120,000 students. The top schools earn a two-page profile with student comments.
A summary of the UM survey said students are friendly and love Missoula, students are happy, everyone loves the Grizzlies, there is great off-campus food and the athletic facilities are great. One student wrote, “Missoula is like nowhere else in the world.”
Others wrote, “You can enjoy both ‘the outdoors and a great education’ at UM, a school that ‘is whatever you want it to be. It can be hiking and fishing, tailgating at Griz games and dancing at the Foresters’ Ball, earning a great education and experiencing new cultures abroad, or it can be a little bit of everything.’”
“The professors who ‘come to Missoula to give up the city and enjoy the mountains and outdoors’ are ‘available to students outside of class,’” another student commented. “‘They are amazing.’”
Two Montana schools made the list: UM and Montana Tech of UM.
“We chose schools for this book primarily for their outstanding academics,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review’s vice president for publishing. “We evaluated them based on institutional data we collect about the schools, feedback from students attending them and our visits to schools over the years.”
UM also was named to Princeton Review’s lists of Best Western Colleges and Colleges With a Conscience.

It has been pointed out by MSU fans that claim to never see them yet UM fans claim to see them all the time. Biased sources? You bet. The UM produced seven award winning commercials, two about football. It is absolutely ridiculous if you believe they paid all that money and only show the two football ones. Take off your blue glasses. Again, this is a ridiculous argument and your fans have no more basis to your sides than our do to our side.cats2506 wrote:Its also been pointed out that they dont ever show those commercials during your games, you have to go to the website to see them.GRZZ wrote:This whole thread is based on very subjective arguments from either side so I will not be joining.
