As others have said, there is zero chance that any of 2010 will be taken away, and Davis' eligibility is only in question for 2011. Besides the confirmation from Will & Tom that this is the case, the simple fact that this first appeared on egriz makes this rumor almost certainly false.

let me help those of you with an msu education understand this. if he loses his appeal, the ineligibility will be for last season and your first big sky title in 15 some yrs will be taken away. the ncaa doesnt do anything quickly (see cam newton, reggie bush, et al) they announced this some 2 weeks after the season ended. to play fall football he only needs to make grades until about half-way through the season--look at all the athletes who drop out at christmas. if he fouled up the end of fall semester, he would be able to get back on track in spring, thus eligible for fall again. it has to have something to do with his transfer, or beginning of semester activities. could also be drug tests failed. as for why "coach ash isnt talking about vacating victories", of course he isnt!!! you really think discussing the possibility of another 0-win season and the stink of this will help with recruiting??? he isrunning as far away from this as possible--note he originally announced "suspended" and ncaa forced him to change to "ineligible". good luck boys, that will be your second 0-for in the last ten seasons. kind of makes you long for kramer and his "work-release" program he ran. so wear your "big sky champion 2010" t-shirts while you still can, before the appeal gets denied, after that you will be no better than all the starving african kids in their "pittsburgh super bowl xlv champs" shirts

i knew when suck it msu came down with this ruling we would lose our first BSC title in 15 years. note: my MSU education has me wanting to do some research back to 2002, 2003, & 2005 for BSC championships, but obviously being factual isn't the point now is it?

although "suck it msu" makes no mention he/she is a griz fan, this post reeks of desperate/entitled/pathetic egrizzer nonsense in response to the forcier situation. don't worry"suck it," UM's got a really good head coach and a great QB. pflugrad is a GREAT decision maker and johnson looked like a poised player; a superstar in waiting(that has to be the reason pflu wanted a drop down, right?). the immediate future in missoula is a bright one. no need to worry about MSU's troubles.

ps...MSU fans are also upset UM didn't get forcier. seemed like a SPECIAL talent.

In keeping with my prior posts on the subject, this is your typical Griz fan wanting a win anyway they can get it. Bottom line, the NCAA could wipe out every win from last season and it wouldn't change a thing. The Griz lost. Not only that, they lost in their own stadium. I was there and you could feel how bad it felt. Do you think that feeling is going to go away just because six months later the NCAA says UM won 2-0. Get a life. Why do you think Auburn didn't care that Newton might be found ineligible after it won the National Championship. Because no on cares one day or ten years after. The fact is, Auburn won it on the field, their fans got to celebrate. Only a pathetic loser with no life would somehow believe a ruling months after a game means Jack Sh*t to anyone. It doesn't. The game is played on the field. MSU fans got to enjoy all the wins and especially beating UM in their own house. Nothing will ever change that. Everyone but the pathetic Griz fans have moved on and looking foward to a new season. Nobody but a loser looks back.

So get a life. What is even more pathetic is that the loser Griz fans that are hoping the NCAA will do what their team couldn't are only setting themselves up for another disappointing loss. But what do you expect from a team and their fans that care more about what jersey the other team is wearing than the actual game being played. Unfortunately for the good and decent Griz fans, they are saddled with supporting a team that has the biggest bunch of loser fans in the history of the BSC that continue to show just how pathetic they are everytime they open their mouth. while you say you dont care about a vacated season, you obviously do, or you wouldnt reply. and while you make you circular logic arguments at the bar about how that doesnt matter, what will matter is the resulting loss of scholarships, probation, missing playoffs, etc. why dont you ask USC fan if the reggie bush nonsense matters?? thanks for bringing up cam newton, as that makes my point. the ncaa has just started their investigation into his ebaying his eligibility. he will eventually be stripped of all his glory, as will auburn. the newton investigation has just started, and you clowns think that 1 week after the 1-aa season ended the ncaa was so proactive as to worry about davis for the coming season???

btw, congratulations on your stadium funding, it will be nice to watch the road games in non-high school facilities. perhaps the remod will include locker rooms, so the players dont have to walk back to the dorms to shower up post-game.

in the last 13 yrs straight of winning bsc championships, i cant recall seeing a single t-shirt denoting that fact, or for that matter, even thinking i would want one. you guys set your sights pretty high!!
maybe in the coming years you will actually win a playoff game, and you guys can get some shirts to commemorate that as well. put me down for an XL.
