He had his shot. Eleven or twelve days if the NFL is better than no days!

Very bad year to be a FA rookie, normally they would get a few months at least.

I'm not sold on marc "macaroni".. He is in the afc so that's why he is in the probowl. Call me an ass but i don't think he is as amazing as everyone says...

Whether or not Chase was the leading rusher in a pre-season game or not, a statement saying he didn't deserve to be in the Pro Bowl is just plain dumb, and I can't believe I'm even replying to it. I must be nearly as stupid as the poster. However, to suggest that MM wasn't worthy seems to be contradicted by every stat available, including:

He scored on both a punt and KO return; one of only 2 players in the NFL to do so

He set two franchise records: Most combined punt and KO yards and most KO yards. The latter record had stood since 1963!!

Oh, and to say he only went to the Pro Bowl because he was in the AFC? Well, considering that he set TWO pro bowl records during the game, you just have to laugh at a comment like that.

I don't think anyone said anything about Chase playing in the pro bowl did they. Kind of putting the cart before the horse.

So your saying he's better than, Desean Jackson, Percy Harvin, and Devin Hester???? Your thinkin is probably influenced by him being from your ****** favorite team, or your racist, or your dumb.... So yes I still stand by what I said, not being biased agains Montana players just speaking the truth... Marc Mariani is good but not nearly the caliber that those three guys are that I just named, there are more than just them in the AFC too... Does mariani even have a highlight tape on YouTube lol??? Cuz all those players have multiple. I'm glad he is in the NFL he deserves it, but all you griz fans treat him like Jesus cuz of his accomplishments but fail to realize the circumstances.... I'm bein an ass trying to prove a point, he deserves to be a prow bowler in the AFC... But he'd have a hell of of a time trying to get on the field if he was in the NFC.

to be fair, there are some pretty amazing PR's in the AFC as well and Mariani was clearly the best last year.........to say otherwise seems to be a case of wearing blue and gold glasses

No. I'm saying he had a better year. And he deserved to be in the Pro Bowl. Although it is interesting to note that none of the players you named have ever set two Pro Bowl return records....

influenced by him being from your ****** favorite team, or your racist, or your dumb
Talk about dumb. This doesn't even deserve a reply. Go be a 3rd grader somewhere else.
Does mariani even have a highlight tape on YouTube lol
Yes. lol

Although, admittedly, I did not know that the number of Youtube videos one had is an acceptable measure of the quality of NFL player that person is. Lady Gaga must be one hell of a baller.
all you griz fans treat him like Jesus cuz of his accomplishments but fail to realize the circumstances
See note above about the 3rd grade.
I'm bein an ass
Oddly, we agree on this point.

Your f*cking retarded if you think probowl records matter. Devin Hester is arguably the best returner in history, Percy Harvin is arguably the most versatile player currently in the NFL... And this is all i gotta say about Desean Jackson.
http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2010/12/19/ ... turn-video" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Let's be real marc had two td returns... That's awesome but to put him in the same realm with these players after a year is ridiculous. He could be great who knows. And he deserved everything he got in the afc.

The only people defending this argument is Montana fans... Ask anyone in the nation who would you rather have as a returner on your team. It would likely be in this order
1. Devin Hester
2.Desean Jackson
3. Percy Harvin
4. Marc Mariani

I think it's great a Montana kid is goin this far but he's got a long way to go if he wants to be on these guys level.

I think you're giving him too much credit, Catamaran. I suspect this is his chemically unaltered level of intelligence.

And really, Returnofthe3rdGraders? Two returns?? How does a player break a 50 year old record for most return yards with two returns? It's obvious you know nothing about the sport, so my work here is done. I've carried you as far as I can.

2.Desean Jackson
3. Percy Harvin

he likely isn't as athletic or shifty as those other guys. but i'd put him right in the mix in terms of explosiveness and the ability to take it to the house at any time. td's are td's and there are no style points. he has amazing vision and a knack for getting to paydirt. he proved last season he is able to do that still, even at the nfl level. bottom line is he has everything you need to be an amazing returner and his probowl proves that.

i'm a vikes fan and percy may be my favorite player on the roster. but teams have to plan for MM in the exact same way as they do percy as far as the return game goes.
