Yea, thanks Daddy I was starting to get worried when I wasn't reminded of the streak for about a week.
Seriously, the Grizzly lashes out when it feels threatened. Go back to marijuanatown and piss and moan about 60 MPH snowstorms or terrrible turf, because the Griz have never lost a game on their own accord.
Win some games on the road and maybe I'll be more impressed with the Griz program.

You forgot to say your really clever line "what a joke"DaddyGriz wrote:Really? So the cat fans can talk about 2/3, but I can't talk about 18/20. Which is honestly more impressive? Come on! If we only talk about "recent" history then, let's talk about last year when you where once again dominated.
Listen, I'm not trying to belittle your program, but here are the facts. You won twice in the last 20 years---both games where debachles in 40mph snow storms (not an excuse), but come on. Reality check. If you won those two games in 20 years should you really by crowing?
The cats have been a bottom tier team for two decades, while the Griz have been a national power house---or is the last 15 years not "recent" enough?
Logical?
It sure seems like you are using the snow storms for an excuse for the 'debachles', otherwise why would you bring the weather into it. If your team is superior shouldn't they be able to beat us in any weather. We played in the same conditions you did, fact is we were better those games.
You should change your handle to Kip. I'll bet your training to be a cage fighter.

Exactly what I expected. The last three posts focused on my comment about the weather (which is why I said it), and avoided the actual point. You guys come up with this BS comments like "win some games on the road" to avoid the reality that your program pales in comparison to ours.
How can you deny the success of the Griz, or thier dominance over the cats for two decades? If you're not impressed with the Griz celtic than you just don't know sh-- about football. I hate the Patriots, but I am impressed with how they continue to win. I despise the cats Gato because there is nothing worse than a bunch of losers who are so used to losing that they don't know how to act when they pull one out of thier ass every 20 years.
WHAT A JOKE!

Anyone who isn't impressed with the Griz program over the past decade needs to get their head checked. Sure, the BSC is evening out, and the dominance may or may not be coming to an end, but any team who has won two NC, and been runner up 3 times in a decade is impressive. The Griz have made it to the NC 5 times in 10 years.
Maybe this is the year the Griz don't win the BSC, maybe this is the year the Griz don't even make the playoffs. But it is going to take more than one down year for any program to catch up to what the Griz have accomplished over the last 10 years.
There is also the potential for the Griz to win the BSC again, and again make a run for the NC.
Cat fans have good reason to be excited this year, and the bandwagon seems to be filling up for you guys, but just because all looks good now, doesn't mean the cats will do jack this year. Of course I'd be surprised if the cats don't do well this year, but EWU, PSU, UM, ISU, etc. also may have something to say about any other team winning the BSC.
I'd say it is a bit of do or die for the cats this year and next. How many more years is 6-5 going to be acceptable for you cat fans, in all seriousness.

Speaking for myself, daddio, I DO respect the tradition of Griz football. They have built an outstanding program with excellent facilities that is no doubt the envy of 1AA football.
What I despise is arrogant, Johnny-come-lately fans like you who think the streak constitutes the entirety of our rivalry. What I despise is morons like you who can't or won't admit and respect the HUGE strides MSU football has made under Mike Kramer. What I despise is idiots like you who don't understand and/or won't accept the fact that the Cats were a better team than the Griz 2 of the last 3 years.
Just like our head coach is FAR classier than yours when it comes to respect for the "other" team, I'm pretty sure all of us Cat fans admire the tradition that's been built in Missoula while at the same time HATING folks like yourself who have no respect for any other school/team/player/coach and who have absolutely NO CLASS.

Is that directed at me Gato? If so get your facts straight, I've mentioned a million times that for the most part I like Kramer. And I don't believe I mentioned word one about the "streak".
Kramer has brought the cats a long way, and has helped you guys get your own bandwagon jumpers, so don't be talking about Griz bandwagoneers
, without looking at those coming your way. Are you guys going to turn these new season ticket holders away, since they are now jumping on the cat bandwagon, in hope of seeing the cats do well this year.

I guess my speed reading isn't quite what it should be, I feel much better EG.
gdaddy does have a point regarding "win some on the road". If the Griz wouldn't have had the success they had without winning on the road. Sure their road record isn't as impressive as their home record, who's is? And an arguement can be made that Wash-Griz as a "12th man" has helped. I have a friend who has a theory that Wash-Griz noise accounts for 1 win a year (or something along those lines). But that is how it should be, and could be everywhere if fans get their isht together.
Regarding the streak, it was by all accounts very impressive. Even though, EG is right about there being a lot more history to the rivalry. The streak was impressive because, really, there were quite a number of years where the teams were relatively equal, and being a rivalry game, all bets are off anyway. Some "luck" was involved, if you want to call it luck. But it is very rare that a true relatively evenly matched rivalry becomes so lopsided in the W/L column.
Sorry I can't come up with any smack. I'll try harder next time.

Your attitude is exactly why we rub it in your faces when we win.
And for the record the Griz are something like .500 on the road, for an almighty unmatched program, that is pretty weak. It just shows you can only play in the safe comfort of WAGriz stadium, where you have a huge home field advantage.
And I said I'll have more respect for your program, I didn't say I didn't have any. Read my post, or is something that they don't teach over in hippyville?
You are a joke, and unoriginal. I'm done with this thread, it's a carbon copy of about 50 others.

if you knew anything about the last three years of bobcat football you would realize that we shared the big sky championship for 2 out of the three and had a chance to win/share it this year. if you knew anything about from where the cats have been before kramer, you would realize that THIS IS A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT. BTW i do belive that what the griz have done since 1993 is a huge accomplishment as wellListen, I'm not trying to belittle your program, but here are the facts. 1) no matter which national title game it is the cats have a better record/more national titles. doesnt matter which level it is in, even if it is in a pop warner level it is still a huge accomplishiment. The cats have been a bottom tier team for two decades, while the Griz have been a national power house---or is the last 15 years not "recent" enough?
Logical?
2) the fact that the cats have been average at best and not conference title winners just proves my point...kramer had accomplished a lot with this program and thus we have a right to crow about the last 3 years

Gato/Celtic, If you think the cats have been better than the Griz 2 of the last 3 years than you are living in fantasy land. People like you crowing about 7-6 records (while the Griz are 12-3) just goes to show how low your standards are. Listen up. I have a huge amount of respect for the strides that the cats/Kramer have made. I think it's good for he state and good for the rivaly. How ever, you have a long way to go before you are in the same league as the Griz. If I had your program for the last twenty years and squeked out two barely above 500 seasons, I would not be crowing. I guess it just depends on how your standards.
Also, I despise punk computer jockies that call me names (joke/idiot) when they know they never have to own up to thier words. Bozeman is only a three hour drive! No matter what I've said, I haven't called any of you names. If we want to play that game, we can meet half way in Butte!

I'm not wolfman, and I'm not making threats. All I'm saying is that is that it's a punk move to call someone a name when you know it's anonymous, Gato. I talk trash about the poor bobcats and call like it is, but I don't call anyone names or personally attack them. That's weak and cowardly. If you have the guts to call someone out you don't do it secretly where I come from. I'm not arrogant or an idiot gato, and I think it's a chickensh--move to call someone that knowing you'll never see them.
We can argue football without personal attacks. This is supposed to be for fun.

Kip, aka Daddygizzz,
Wherever you come from, go back. I agree 100% with ElGato and CelticCat. This is the smack board. If you make inflammatory comments and don't expect to get insulted, attacked, or called names go to another board.
We do respect the griz football program, it's frothing, arrogant, loud mouth fans like you that make us hate everything related to the griz. This has been stated over, and over, and over. You people are so proud of yourselves that you can't accept the fact that there are other good football programs building out there. As stated above, look where we have come from in 5 years. We are very proud of what Coach Kramer has done for Bobcat football.
Coach Glenn was a class act who respected his opponent, no matter who it was. It seems to me that, except for a few griz fans like JahGriz, he left a bunch of fans who are ungracious and don't handle losing to the Cats very well.
Hey Kip, we do have one thing in commmon, I've been studying to be a cage fighter just like you. Want to meet in Two Dot and see who can throw a football over the nearest mountain range?
I agree, this is supposed to be for fun, so I'm trying to do my part. Kip. Just don't get pissed and go off again, it really is beneath you.

Hatr, If you think the cats dominated the Griz in '02 than you know less about football than the other morons on this board. I was on the sideline of that game, and you're BS comment is way off.
I can't argue with a bunch of pipedream cat fans whose standards are so low they don't know what winning is. Maybe you'll have another 7-6 season this year! If the Griz went 7-6 we'd have a public lynching here. You jokers go 7-6 and you run your mouth about it.
sad, sad, sad.
One more thing. Like I told rico in his "private message", next time send me a meeting place/time with your guttless message, or pissoff.
I'm done.
