Im pretty sure the Griz have had more Montana Starters over the past 5 years and even the past 15 years. Heck when was the last time a Montana kid started at Qb for the Cats I can think of at least 6 Montana kids that have started at Qb for the Griz since 1995. 4 of our 6 Montana kids in the NFL have started in games and 2 have made the Pro Bowl. These facts prove my point that the Griz get the better recruits. Up with Montana boys!TomCat88 wrote:MSU has more starters and overall more players from Montana. Not that it matters, but that would be one indicator of who is having more success if you want to call it that. With atmosphere and wins being equal the recruiting is gonna be equal.

Go look at your current roster ******! Hell since your at it look at the rosters from the last five years. After you get done doing that come out of your mothers basement and enjoy the evening, it's a nice night.Cat turned Griz wrote:Im pretty sure the Griz have had more Montana Starters over the past 5 years and even the past 15 years. Last qb from mt to start for msu was mark desin. I think that was 2008.

Re: Montana recruits who gets the best ones?
Apparently 2008 is too far back for you to remember, when Mark Desin of Billings started the last two games of the season at QB for MSU. Which is strange since most Griz fans' memories go all the way back to the '90s or mid '80s. I don't think there is any question looking at the current rosters that MSU has more than held its own in the past several years recruiting within Montana.Cat turned Griz wrote: Im pretty sure the Griz have had more Montana Starters over the past 5 years and even the past 15 years. Our Montana boys totally dominate your Montana boys head to head on the football field. But any way if you can't admit I'm right then so be it.
I will be at the game Thursday night and headed to Missoula for the Griz game on Saturday. The last time I went to a cat game it was quiet and only half full. The cheering was at a minimum and the closest person to me literally golf clapped. It will be interesting to see if the crowd Thursday night will be half as loud as the Griz game on Saturday.

I have never said any trash talk to a poster ever....and this is about all I will ever do.....but it seems to me that you literally are the exact definition of a BANDWAGON FAN!!!! No one, and I mean no one likes bandwagon fans. Heck egriz probably doesn't want you! I really wish that we could just keep smack off both egriz and the nation at least until November. Let's just admit it, we are the best teams in the big sky. Both schools have a ton to be proud about. I hate the Griz with a passion and have never/will never root for UM, but they are a good football team and I look forward to the rivalry.Cat turned Griz wrote:Our Montana boys totally dominate your Montana boys head to head on the football field. Montana recruits who gets the best ones?
Who cares? Seriously......now friz fans, who know they are being out-recruited in-state, have to argue about quality over quantity? Lol. Give me a freaking break. Yes, we have more MT kids on our roster (by about 10) but do you see or hear any cat fan rubbing that in? Go hide in your earth home....and please shower. I am tired of smelling UM dropouts around town.....

I'm glad your going to the game on Thursday, where will you be exactly because I would love to see a true half breed in person?Cat turned Griz wrote:Our Montana boys totally dominate your Montana boys head to head on the football field. But any way if you can't admit I'm right then so be it.

I'm sure we will be louder than the griz fans (true griz fans I should say, not pathetic spineless turncoats) at the end of the game the last time the Cats rolled into Missoula.Cat turned Griz wrote:Our Montana boys totally dominate your Montana boys head to head on the football field. Isn't that a shame. You should tell me who's box, chances are I might know them and in turn I will let them know a huge pathetic excuse of a person will be in their presence come Thursday night! Or at the very least tell me what time your gonna be up there so I can catch a glimpse of what a real griz fan looks like!Cat turned Griz wrote:I will be in one of the private boxes

Probably just have to look for the high drunk wearing the Griz crap and eating granola. This guy just proves that a majority of Griz fans are nothing but band wagoners. I am kinda glad he calls himself a Griz cause than we don't have to make excuses on why such a whiner is a Cat fan.

I got a pretty good idea who this guy is and he usually is the drunkest guy at the social settings. Sometimes he is a good guy but more than not he gets way to drunk, and sometimes he takes rides from pizza delivery guys! Sound familiar cat turned griz?

And how long has it been since you were at a cats game? Apparently not in the last few years. That place is anything BUT empty on Saturday.
I hear Congressmen Akin is looking for a new job. Might want to give him a call, it seems he and dUMb have similar beliefs.......

+1 and may I add "Are you kidding me!?" and "OMG"catsrback76 wrote:REALLY?Cat turned Griz wrote:Every year the debate between Griz and Cat fans is who gets the best Montana football talent. I had a discussion Friday night in Miles City at the Rocky game with a Cat fan that the Cats always get the better Montana talent. I said if that's true why is their only 2 Cat alums from Montana in the NFl (Fletcher and Person). The Griz have 7 (Mariani, Bierman, Hilliard, Schilling, Anderson, Carpenter and Horn. I think for the most part the BEST Montana football talent come play for the Griz for these reasons: The Griz own the over all record against the Cats by a long way. The Griz have better facilities and fan base. The best Montana HS kids come to play in Grizzoula because they know that brings them a better opportunity to play at the next level.![]()
