For all those who continue to say kitties, that's fine as long as you never wonder why I call you all Jizz.

And if you do, I will gladly explain. If that doesn't clear things up, I can redirect you to WebMD.com.

SenorWeezer wrote:Just when I thought I was getting caught up in the moment and thinking the ASU fans/players displayed poor sportsmanship only because we lost, I receive a PM throught this website from GreatAppSt with my score prediction from last weeks thread and a bunch of laughing emiticons underneath.

I could care less about how far off my prediction was (although, I was consistent in that manner all year!), but what I thought was interesting is that it proved that my first intincts were spot on. Thank you for clarifying that for me GreatAppSt.
I don't believe that public boards are a good place for mudslinging and bad mouthing other fans so I use pms to keep posts that can lead bad and hurtful feelings to a minimum in the public board areas.

After I read your pm response to me I wrote you again check your pm again. :D Then I continued on too read the new messages list and low and behold this thread? Hmmm So SW let's lay it all on the line shall we? I offer this, and we'll let the members decide if I was way over the line as you suggest, or you where overreacting.

I will stand by the BCNation's community judgment and make appropriate recompense if that be their decision, will you?

For the boards consideration:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

SW's prediction post.

"Your Montana State University Fighting Bobcats 19
appy hot hot hot state 13"

(appy hot hot hot state 13" )
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

SW You do realize your original post (see italicized and underlined above) was an insult, and may only be read by ASU fans(and I'm quite sure meant) as such. Which is why I waited until after the game to pm SW back.

Again, I have respect for other schools fan based boards and don't prefer airing dirty laundry in public unless it is needed, I didn't think it warranted a public call out SW. I must admit I did want to respond to the insult, rib ya a little as to who got the last laugh, and leave you with some smiles. In other words, I have no hard feelings from the insult. 8)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes I pm'd SW the following; claimed totally classless message?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Your Montana State University Fighting Bobcats 19
appy hot hot hot state 13"

(as remider of his original post)

   :D :D :D

(and my response too it)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's the bunch of laughing emoticons?

BTW I pm'd Six other Cat fans the same basic thing and they got it. and took it as it was meant. :D :D :D

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SWs response pm

"Just curious...your point is?

At first I thought maybe I was just caught up in the moment, as were many other Bobcat fans, when I had such a bad taste in my mouth about what poor sportsmanship ASU players and fans displayed however, you have proven my first instincts to be exact. Thank you for clarifying"

I really wanted to respond to this, that the traits SW was claiming about ASU fans were all hypocritically rolled up and on display in his original first post about ASU (remember, appy hot hot hot state!) If you insult someone from the get go, and they take exception to it and then rib ya latter for it, can you be the one to cry foul?? Not in my book. You may need to look at yourself as the bad mouthed fan first. That in the future maybe he should refrain from starting off exchanges with people you don't know with insults on the non smack board.

Yet I demurred and sent this response because it was obvious he had taken it the wrong way, so I wanted to clarify that there would be no hard feelings.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My return pm

"just messin SW nothing personal. :D enjoy the holidays I wish happiness and wellness to you and all your family and friends. :D

See ya next season I think y'all have much to look forward to.

PEACE my Brother 8) "

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here is the rub. I sent that last pm then came to read any new posts on the forum, and BINGO this thread appears that I've been all but called A Red Commie Pinko Fag. For giving SW a slight (and yes I believe most posters who read sports board regularly would call) "   :D :D :D " a very slight post game ribbing, and going by SW's post count I would say he qualifies as a regular. Then the insinuation that trying to use the route of tact(IMHO) through use of a pm to do the ribbing was in poor taste as well??

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There ya have it BC Nation You make the call!!

Are SW's first instincts correct and my responding pm to SW was the most atrocious, low down mean spirited and unsporting in nature that you have ever seen, :? And I shouldn't have the gall to call myself a fan of any team. Because I'm the proof that App fans are the worst I should be banished forever.

or

SW was insulting and is somehow amazed that another fan might respond to such isults in this a manner post game. :? His posting this thread was an overreaction with it's basis in sour grapes and shock at being called on it. Forevermore to be called SenorBlackPot.

I await your verdicts:  (overly homerish replies will be discarded)

BTW For those MSU fans who came to the game and read this board I was the fan who stood at the visitors gate starting at 3pm until 10 mins to game time, shook as many of your hands as I could in welcome. :D Gave y'all thanks for making the long trek to Boone in support of MSU and the FCS, and asked if y'all had found the town, the high country, and school accomodating, and wished you safe travels for your trips home. Thanks again :D :D

SW When was the last time you did this with visitors at your games? I have done this at all home games for the last five seasons. I do this to help ensure visitors have a good time, want to return and maybe bring more visitors the next time they come. It's just somthing myself and many other Appfans have taken to doing to help build our program. (I guess you may deem me as a bad foul mouth unsporting fan for doing this as well)

PS Like I said in my second pm to ya SW Best wishes my friend, We'll see ya round the boards     :D :D :D
PEACE!

Thank you GreatAppSt for giving me yet another reason to stay away from crack. Dear G-d there isn't a single coherent thought in your post.

Smack on

GreatAppst: See AD's apology letterS to refs and visting fans for a clarification of how they treat guest in Bozo..

smack off

In all fairness, and NDSU flag burnings aside, there are a lot of cool cat fans that would treat you just as well in Bozeman. A bunch of them post on this board. I vote for digging a hole for the hatchet. MSU and App St. both have good young teams i'm looking forward to the grudge match.

After seeing Bobcat nation mix with App. St just imagine if the Griz and App both win. EGriz will be a blood bath.

Of the 18,900 in WGS last weekend, I'd say there was a pretty good groan when the annouced score was 14-0 Appy. But a pretty loud cheer @ 14-10 Appy. I think most Griz fans DO care about the kitties...er Cats...while in the playoffs.

I'd guess there are more Griz fans that cheer for the kitties...er CATS...than kitties...DAMMIT...CATS that cheer for the Griz.

Fine, fine, fine... I didn't think i was openning up a smack fest. Move along people, nothing to see here...

Sounds to me like a great over exageration by SW, and a poor reason to start this thread. GreatAppSt made some previous posts that may have led up to the situation, but I think the whole thing is way out of proportion.

Kill the thread!!!

Spoken like a true liberal arts school student. There are more fizz... er Griz fans that cheer for the CATS because there are more teddies... dammit... Griz fans in total. Let's talk percentages, like people with a technical education would. In that case, I would imagine the proportions are pretty even.

My $0.04 (because an MSU education is worth twice that of a dUMb .... sorry--did it again, UM education).

(Smack over--couldn't resist.)

Seriously, though, at a bar last weekend populated with about a hundred Griz fans, I saw only two that cheered when App. State scored, and the majority was clearly pulling for the CATS.

Yeah but remember, nevadacat was speaking like a person with a "technical" education would...which basically means, assume away any facts that might actually hurt your argument, and then, based on your "assumed" facts, show why your "assumed" numbers "prove" that you must be right. ;)

I think you mispelled a word there: "technical" --> "law". I'm surprised you missed that. ;)

Don't you already have enough gear from teams that got beat by the Griz this year? ;)
