Uh...I hate to be Mr. Obvious, but you appear to have spent your entire weekend and most of today either reading or responding to this thread. With that in mind, would you maybe like to re-think
the logic that went into this response?

This thread started with a story about a coach hiding behind a couch while speaking to a rival recruiter. Let me say that again for emphasis.....this thread began with
a story about a coach hiding behind a coach while the recruit spoke with a rival coach.
Whatever chance this thread had at logic died at birth with the first click of Submit. It didn't stand a chance.....remind you of any posters?

Ahhhh. A voice of reason amongst the noise. No offense to Grizlaw here but when a lawyer is telling you all that you are arguing too much without really saying much you might want to think about it.

CLASSIC!!!

That has to be a sign that the end is near. AG1 follows a pair of posts by GL and kmax with "CLASSIC!!!"
Stand up and cheer,
Cheer long and loud for dear Montana,
For today we raise
The blue and gold to wave victorious!
Our sturdy band now is fighting
And we are sure to win the fray
We've got the vim, we're here to win,
For this is dear Montana's day!
Rah! Rah! Rah!

Ummm, yeah. You.
Well if was about a coach hiding behind a couch, then why were you talking about a having a college offensive lineman get you drunk and stick his fingers in your bunghole while his roommate hid under the covers and video taped the whole thing?

Is there anyway we can create a tampa griz/crazycat forum for the rest of us to read but not be allowed to submit. You know, kind of a steel cage type of forum where they both go in and it doesn't stop until some one taps out or develops carpal tunnel syndrome. You can charge pay per view and offset cost for bobcat nation.

I'll get right on it!

Try being a major contributor.
In my own defense, I would like to point out that any thread suggesting that a coach hid behind a couch while the recruit spoke with a rival coach didn't have very good shot at developing into anything informative.

I apologize in advance for stirring the pot and keeping this thing going... but I do have one question for Tampa who apparently believes there is absolutely zero possibility that something like this could ever happen... Do you think that any recruiter, for any sport, at any level... has ever stayed in a house and hidden somewhere in order to hear what the competitors are saying?

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

When I was in about 4th grade and I used to play football with my friends on the playground, I sometimes used to sneak across the line of scrimmage when I was on defense so I could try to hear what play the offense was calling in their huddle. Does that count?

I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

Let me answer it this way. If someone wanted me to believe a story like that I would need a source that's a lot more reliable than an internet message board (a sports message board to boot). Like a journalist or a newspaper willing to attach their name to it.
Of course it's
possible that something like that
could happen. Weirder stuff has. For instance, if someone told me that a mission-experienced astronaut drove from Texas to Florida while wearing a diaper so she didn't have to stop to unrinate in order to confront a rival lover I wouldn't believe it. It just sounds too ridiculous. However, if a police report, AP news story, even an editorialist pushed it I might be inclined to consider it.
Does that make sense?

Oh sure...We are going to believe some Griz fan that comes on here and tells some BS story about an astronaut driving across the country to confront a rival lover?....wait, that did happen.

Epilogue:
The football player in the initial post, Andre Gurode, is currently the center for the Dallas Cowboys. He played at Colorado. Also mentioned in the initial post is Rick Neuheisal now a coach for the Baltimore Ravens.
Neuheisal won a $4.7 million settlement from UW for wrongful dismissal. $2.5 of that came from the NCAA.
If you Google Neuheisal+recruit there are lots of stories that reference his past. I don't personally find them all that objectionable. However many do, as always its a matter of personal opinion.
