The player in question is an All-State California performer. On this hypothetical team, he would be blocking for Louis Bland, who turned down Montana for Wazzu, and for Ciere Wood, who is the #2 nationally ranked 2009 prospect.
C. Brigante agrees that Coach Ash is a very nice man. C. Brigante especially enjoyed his conversation with him, but that is not the point. You need to understand Montana history to understand why he was there. The years 1887-1889 were crucial in setting up statehood. Hammond showed up in 1887 at 28 years of age. He came essentially from the eastern seaboard and in earshot of Washington D.C. He was a Republican and a freemason, and this lot ran the state for at least the first quarter century of statehood. Do you think he was there by accident? There is a political scientist at Wake Forest who is quite fond of the 1889 constitutional convention, especially the proceedings and debates from the 45 days. Maybe he could provide some insight.

This is somebody with some serious reality issues trying to live his life vicariously through movie characters on an internet message board.
