[quote="UMclassof2002"]LMAO @ Bobcat delusion.
So, 76, basically what you are saying is that the Bobcat D was garbage for 16 consecutive years and then when Lulay arrives all of a sudden your defense coincidentally turned into nails at that same precise moment? I call ******. Your team had over a decade and a half of losing before TL arrived and THEN you started winning games. Not before. And certainly not after. Face it - this year you had the good fortune of playing against the worst Griz offense perhaps ever on your own turf and could only win by ten. [quote]
LMAO @ "Flagship" fans that assume just because Lulay is gone the Cats will turn into S**t. We have plenty of options at QB this year, the only place where we are hurt is receiver and we are working to fix that. Its funny how you guys are already saying that Swogger and Chambers are going to lead you to a NC when Chambers (as far as I know) hasn't even commited to UM. Also, it will be pretty hard to pass with that sweet o-line you have returning. Face it, even though we did not make the playoffs this year and the friz did, one program is one a slippery slope downhill and the other is on the way up. I'll let you figure out which is which.

Answer me this: When was the last time a Lulay-less MSU squad beat the Griz? That what I thought.MM7CAT wrote:UMclassof2002 wrote:LMAO @ Bobcat delusion.

There is a difference between having options and having GOOD options. Have any of your QB's other than Lulay even sniffed the field the last few years? No. So you really have no clue as to what is in the cupboard. Carpenter? Unknown quantity. Are you banking on Desin if Carpenter doesn't pan? Options, eh?
The Griz primary problem last year was the fact that our QB's sh!t the bed every single conference game except, perhaps, ISU. Better QB play was the only thing preventing us from running the table in the conference this year. That has been addressed in the near term (Swogger) and in the long term (Stapp, Selle). Chambers and Bradshaw is just icing on the cake.

So you're saying that Lulay is gone so we have no chance at beating the Griz? You say that we have no PROVEN options and then go on to say that Swogger will fix your QB situation? Tell me.....what has Swogger done? Thats what I thought. The only QB that has sniffed the field for you is Berquist, is that supposed to be a good option for you? Carpenter and Coppak have been in the system and know the offense. We also have a I-A transfer in Rolovich and we landed the #2 QB (Rassmussen) in Washington. What makes you think that you're QB situation is any different than ours? Oh, I forgot....you are the mighty Grizzlies and no matter what you will be a dominant force and the Cats will be crap. One more thing....you better stock up on diapers up there since you're QB's seem to have uncontrolable bowel movements while playing.UMclassof2002 wrote:MM7CAT wrote:UMclassof2002 wrote:LMAO @ Bobcat delusion.

He was a starter until injured and got screwed by not getting the starting job back. Rolovich, on the other hand...well, lets just say that when he arrives in Bozeman he will STILL be picking splinters out off his ass from riding the Hawaii bench.
There is a big difference between knowing the offense and being able to execute it.

WOW, thats quite impressive for three years worth of football. I give up, we are going to be dominated by every team we play this year. If only we could be half as good as the mightly Griz. At least Swogger will be able to get his completion rate up over 50% with all those shovel passes.UMclassof2002 wrote:MM7CAT wrote:Tell me.....what has Swogger done?

Coppack might know the system, but he is no longer with the team. He was one of the 6 players who transfered from the school last week.MM7CAT wrote:UMclassof2002 wrote:MM7CAT wrote:So you're saying that Lulay is gone so we have no chance at beating the Griz? I guess it's a good thing that we aren't banking on him being the starter then.info197176 wrote:Rolovich=Jason Washington
Bergquist and Washington would have been 4th and 5th on the MSU depth chart at QB this year.

Jebus - did you read the part about where he got hurt and then got jobbed by losing the starter spot? Try and keep up.MM7CAT wrote:WOW, thats quite impressive for three years worth of football. The fact is. We beat the Griz 3 out of 4 times w/o really even having to throw the ball that much
The game we lost Lulay had big yards, but we were 1 dimensional. I think we will be a better team on offense overall next year because we will be more balanced (running the ball). I like our OL/DL coming back a lot more than what the Griz have coming back and that is where games are won.
I like our chances!

Yeah...that was the same part that where it said he averaged 47 completions, 660 yards, and 4 TD's over three years?UMclassof2002 wrote:Jebus - did you read the part about where he got hurt and then got jobbed by losing the starter spot? Hmmm. National Championship in 06. Wow - you guys must really be implementing some drastic changes over there if you think this is a possibility. From what I saw of your team last year - you were not even close to championship caliber. Any of the final 4 teams would have pummeled you easily IMO. Is 06 the year that your D is supposed to be "Scary Good" as Hauck stated? Exactly how are they going to improve so much over the next 10 months as to be considered "Scary Good"? Or is that another of Bobby's empty promises much like "We're bringing back the high-powered Griz offense - we're going to light up the scoreboard LIKE A PINBALL MACHINE!"

Newsflash - the D was great last year. It will be again next year. I think you probably know that. It was the offense that hung them out to by putting them on a short field, giving them no rest with 3 and outs and scoring no points. Offense was the issue and it is being addressed.catatac wrote:Hmmm. National Championship in 06. I'll give them credit though, that scary good defense did finish ahead of Sac State this year. If it wasn't for the defenses's timely INT's this year the Griz could have been below .500 as a team. They didn't get any late in the season and ===> LOSS.
